Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Thursday, 16 May 1968:  At Lockport, La., on Tuesday, May 14, 1968, Floyd Pitre, beloved husband of Maria Davis; father of Errol, Fay Ann, and Glenn Pitre; brother of Donald, Hudson and Bobby Pitre, Mrs. Fernand Bourgeois, Mrs. Earl Broussard, Mrs. Louis Eschete, Mrs. Gilbert Touro, Mrs. Lionel Chiasson and Mrs. George Breaux; son of Ismae Savoie and the late Clarence Pitre; age 47 years, a native of Bourg, La., and a resident of Lockport, La., for the past 25 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also officers and members of the VFW and the American Legion Posts of Lockport, La., are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Raceland, La., on Thursday, May 16, 1968, at 10:30 o'clock a.m.  Religious services at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery. Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport for Maria Davis Pitre, 75, a native of Chacahoula and resident of Lockport, who died art 3:55 p.m. March 6, 2001.  Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until funeral time at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport.  Burial will be at the church cemetery.  She was the mother of Errol and Glenn Pitre and Fay Pitre Heard.  She is also survived by four grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd J. Pitre; parents, Cornelius and Ammette Olivier Davis; brothers, Aimsy, Alvin and Willie Davis; and sisters, Genevieve Dupre, Irene LeBlanc and Thelma LeBouef.  She was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.  She was a member of the Holy Savior Ladies Altar Society and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  Falgout Funeral Homes of Lockport is in charge of the arrangements.
