Obituary: The Courier (Houma, LA), Friday, 3 November 1978: Felicien Eugene Pitre, a resident of 206 Plum St. died at the age of 66. Visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home is now in progress. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday Nov. 4 at the Chauvin Funeral Home followed by religious services at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Verna Hebert; one son, Keith Pitre of Houma; one daughter Mrs. Kenneth Cockerham of Stamp, Ark and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Janvier and Barbara Duplantis Pitre. Arrangements are being handled by Chauvin Funeral Home.

Obituary: The Courier (Houma, LA), Monday, 29 August 1983: (photo) Mrs. Verna Hebert Pitre, 66, a native of Houma died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chauvin Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be today from 5 to 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time. Burial will take place in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by one son, Keith Eugene Pitre of Houma; one daughter, Mrs. Ken Laura Cockerham of Springfield, Ark. and four sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Adeline) Charpentier; M. J. (Emily) Duplantis; Mrs. H. J. (Lottie) Duplantis; Mrs. D. J. (Addie) Duplantis, all of Port Arthur, Texas and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felicien E. (Phil) Pitre, and her parents, Emile and Laura Duplantis Pitre (sic Hebert). She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Magnal and Rufus Hebert, and one sister, Mrs. Floyd G. (Euda) Hebert. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
