Laura, beloved wife of the late Frank. Loving mother of Trudy Gibson, Joan Halloran, Shirley and her husband Auby Cox, Pauline and her husband Eric Campbell, Gus and his wife Sherri and of the late Irving and Chuck. She will be missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, Weston on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Neri Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Cremation.

Charles Peters: Charles (Chuck) Peters, 54, Sand Point, Guysborough County, died April 16, 1994, at home. Born in Souris, P.E.I., he was the son of Laura (MacCormick) Peters, Toronto, and the late Frank Peters. He was employed with the Nova Scotia Power Corporation in Port Hawkesbury as a digger operator. He was a founding member and fire chief of the Seven Communities Volunteer Fire Department, Hadleyville. He is survived by his companion, Barbara MacIsaac; two daughters, Sharri (Mrs. Jeff Browne), Fort Nelson, B.C.; Michele, Halifax; two sons, Lance, Blue Mountain, Pictou County; Darren, Trenton; two stepsons, David MacIsaac, Halifax; Bobby MacIsaac, Whistler, B.C.; four sisters, Mrs. Trudy Gibson, Ottawa; Mrs. Pauline Campbell, Barrie, Ont.; Mrs. Joan O'Halloran, Toronto; two brothers, Irving, Alberta; Gus, Toronto; eight grandchildren. Visitation was held Tuesday and Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral was April 21 in St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, St. Francis Harbour, Rev. Alex MacLellan officiated. Burial was in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or Psoriasis Society of Canada.
