Obituary:  Portland Press Herald (ME), Wednesday, 6 December 1995 - ALICE M. PETERS NATIVE OF CANADA, ENJOYED CROCHETING - Alice M. Peters, 93, died Tuesday at St. Andrews Hospital.  She was born on Prince Edward Island, Canada, a daughter of Robert and Angela Berrouard.  In 1922, she married Fidele A. Peters in Paris.  Mrs. Peters was a homemaker.  She enjoyed crocheting and many people throughout the country owned her work.  She also enjoyed playing bingo.  She lived in Rumford and then in Boothbay until 1972, when she moved back to Prince Edward Island.  In 1983, she returned here.  Her husband died in 1984.  A daughter, Edna Michaud, and four sons, Joseph, Edward, Robert and Fidele Peters Jr., also died previously.  Surviving are a son, Clifford H. Peters of Boothbay; two daughters, Dawn Giles and Ozelie Chapman, both of Boothbay; a sister, Annie Pelkey of Rumford; a brother, Levi Berrouard of Springfield, Mass.; 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.  A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.  The Rev. Royal Parent will be the celebrant.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Boothbay.  Arrangements are by Simmons & Harrington Funeral Home.

Ozelie Mary Peters:  Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram (ME), 4 December 2010:  Boothbay - Ozelie Mary Chapman, 77, a resident of the Back River Road, died on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Mid-Coast Hospital in Brunswick following a period of failing health.  Ozelie was born on July 1, 1933, in Boothbay Harbor, the daughter of Fidele and Alice Berrouard Peters, attended local schools, graduating from Boothbay High School in 1950, a year early because she was able to skip a grade ahead during her schooling.  Soon after graduating, she married her first husband, Francis Arsenault, and began their family together.  A mom first and foremost, she loved to be her family's caretaker and reveled in giving all of them her love and devotion.  At one time or another, all of her children and grandchildren returned and lived with her at her home.  She was employed for 43 years as a personal care giver for many families in the Boothbay region.  Ozelie attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Boothbay Harbor, loved to collect angels, and at one point had over 300 in her collection, some of which were donated to the Cancer Care Center where she was receiving treatment, so other families could receive the comfort and support they offered.  A bingo player, she often traveled to many games throughout the state, including Bangor, to play.  She also loved to read, crochet, and tend her flower gardens in the front of her home.  Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays.  It was just a couple of years ago that she used the hall at the fire station to host her entire family for Thanksgiving, where three turkeys were cooked to feed everyone.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Arsenault, who died in 1966; two sons, Bruce and Steve Arsenault; sisters, Dawn Giles and Edna Michaud, and brothers, Phil, Robert, Joe, Eddie, and Clifford Peters.  Survivors include her husband of 42 years, David Chapman of Boothbay; son, Barry Arsenault and his wife Vicki of Woolwich, daughters, Brenda Lord and her husband Jerry of Boothbay, Tammy Chubbuck and her husband Kevin of Edgecomb, Lisa Orne of Boothbay, a stepdaughter, Karen Dalton and her husband Raymond of Wiscasset; her mother- in-law, Gloria Peters of Boothbay; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, at the Simmons Harrington and Hall Funeral Home, Boothbay.  A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the American Legion Hall, Boothbay, with a gathering to follow at the Legion.  Private interment will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Boothbay Harbor.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Simmons Harrington and Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Boothbay.  Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to: The Susan G. Dawn Alice Peters:  Dawn Alice Peters Giles, 66, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away Jan. 9 (2005) at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor.  Dawn was born in Boothbay on May 20, 1938, a daughter of Alice Berrouard and Phil Peters.  She attended Boothbay schools.  She was employed as a home health caregiver.  She enjoyed her family, camping and taking trips to Florida.  She was a huge Nascar fan, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.  She was predeceased by her parents; husband of 24 years, Gordon M. Giles; great granddaughter Kennedy Warren; four brothers and a sister.  Survivors include two daughters, Karen Campbell Blackman of Boothbay and Lori Campbell Ranco of Stratton; four sons, Clarence (Scott) Campbell of Boothbay, Robert Campbell of Boothbay, Gordon (Joey) of Dresden, and William (Billy) Giles of East Boothbay; stepson, Michael Giles of East Boothbay; sister Ozelie Peters Chapman of Boothbay; brother, Clifford Peters of Boothbay Harbor; close friend and companion, Richard Williams of Boothbay; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Brief Pythian Sister Service, 7 p.m., Fri., Jan. 14 at the KP Hall, Boothbay Harbor, followed by a chemical free reception at the KP Hall.  Family graveside service will be held in the spring in Evergreen Cemetery with the Deacon John Kreppein presiding.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oceanview Temple, Boothbay, ME.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Simmons Harrington & Hall Funeral Home, Boothbay.
