Obituary:  Weekly Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Saturday, 30 October 1937:  Pitre - At the United States Veterans Administration Facility, Alexandria, La., at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 1937, F. A. Pitre, aged 43 years and 12 days, of Alexandria.  Deceased is survived by his wife, and one son, Bobbie Pitre, Alexandria; his mother, Mrs. L. T. Pitre, Addis, La.; five brothers, Ferdinand and Norman Pitre, Addis; Albert, Eugene and Raymond Pitre, Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Celine Foret, Addis, and Mrs. J. W. Tarver, Palatka, Florida.  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Oct. 25, the procession leaving the Kramer Funeral Home at 4 o'clock going to St. Francis Xavier's Cathedral.  Interment followed in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, La., under the direction of the Kramer Funeral Home.

- The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Tuesday, 26 October 1937:  Funeral of F. A. Pitre - Funeral services for F. A. Pitre, 43, who died on Sunday, Oct. 24, 1937, were held on Monday afternoon, Oct. 26, the procession leaving the Kramer Funeral Home at 4 o'clock and going to St. Francis Xavier's Cathedral where the Rev. Father M. Prevot officiated.  He also officiated at the grave.  Services at the grave were conducted by the George M. Simmons, Jr., Post No. 3 of the American Legion with H. T. Dowty, acting commander; Gray A. Mann and A. Cowart, color bearers; Larry Wicks, chaplain; Joe Cohen and H. Delaney, color guards; A. L. Welcek and William G. Jackson, buglers.  A National guard firing squad was headed by Lieut. William Keating and Sergeant James Boyce.  Pall-bearers were: F. D. Cantrell, A. Craft, T. Hendrix, Chet Derveloy, T. Treadway and F. A. Anderson.  Interment was made in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, La., under the direction of the Kramer Funerl Home.

Obituary:  The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Friday, 5 February 1993:  Anabel Goodman Hill.  Died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1993, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary.  She was 88, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Perry, Fla.  She was a former Grace Baptist Church secretary.  Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.  Religious services at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kelly Fitzgerald.  Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.  Survived by a sister, Lillie Brister, Baton Rouge; nephews, Harold Pitre, Robert Pitre and Thomas Brister, all of Baton Rouge; and numerous other nephews and nieces in Florida.  Preceded in death by husbands, William Hill and Francis Pitre; parents, a brother, and three sisters.  Pallbearers will be Robert E. Pitre, Thomas Brister Sr., Thomas Brister Jr., Jason Thomas, Jerry Jones and Jimmy Miller.  She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a former Sunday School teacher and leader of Girls in Action.

Robert Adam Pitre:  Gonzales Weekly Citizen (Ascension, LA), 3 August 2010:  Robert A. Pitre, Sr. passed away July 14, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.  He was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Baton Rouge, and spent most of his life in Gonzales.  He is survived by children and stepchildren: Brenda Whitney and fiancé Paul Sloan, Francis Ann Farmer and husband Joseph, Robert A. Pitre Jr., Elvie Duplantis and husband Mark, Jody Pitre and wife Michelle, Jade Pitre and Charlene Horton and husband Michael; a half-brother Norman Palmer; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, a cousin, Evelyn Jackson and special friends, Norma and Loden Singletary.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Pitre and Elvie Uzzle, a granddaughter, Tyler Ann Talley and great-grandson Michael Brent Babin.  Robert was a retired inspector for Lawrence Allison and Associates.  He was the former president of the East Ascension Riders Club and former member of the La. Cutting Horse Assn. and National Cutting Horse Assn.  Special thanks to the staff of Old Jefferson Community Care Center and the staff of the Med 4 Nursing Unit and Rehabilitation Unit at OLOL for their care and concern.  Robert's wishes were to be cremated.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at St. Amant Baptist Church, St. Amant at 7 p.m.  Church Funeral Services, St. Amant, in charge of arrangements.
