Obituary:  Beaumont Journal (TX), Wednesday, 31 December 1980:  Hamshire - Enies Pitre, 58, of Hamshire died at 6 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont after an illness.  Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary of Winnie.  A native of Lawtell, La., he had lived Hamshire 17 years and was a roughneck and a World War II veteran.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Pitre of Hamshire; one son, James Pitre of Hamshire; two daughters, Margaret Istre of Orange and Carol Burlin of Winnie; two brothers, Horace Pitre Jr. of Hamshire and Edward Pitre of Eunice, La.; four sisters, Inez Thibodeaux of Baton Rouge, La., Emily Matt of Sulphur, La., Ethel Darbonne of Eunice, La., and Theresa LeJeune of Basile, La.; and three grandchildren.
