Obituary:  The Eunice News (Eunice, LA), Thursday, 14 March 1996:  Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 1996 for Edward Pitre, 71, with burial following in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Mr. Pitre, a resident of Eunice, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 10, 1996 at Moosa Memorial Hospital.  Survivors include his wife Mrs. Jennie B. Pitre of Eunice; two sons, Kenneth Pitre of Port Allen and Gerald Pitre of Salt Lake City, Utah; one daughter, JoeAnn Fontenot of Confort, Tx.; two step-daughters, Norma Jean Travis of Jackson, La. and Diana Miller of Eunice; three sisters, Theresa LaJeune of Basile, Emma Lee Matte of Sulphur and Ethel Darbonne of Eunice; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice was in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  Eunice - Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Pitre, 75, the former Jennie Bergeron, were held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Rev. Joseph Alexander will conduct the services.  Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
