Obituary:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Monday, 15 August 1983:  Ville Platte - Funeral services for Mr. Easy Pitre, 68, were to be held at 2 p.m. today in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church here with burial in Gates of Heaven Cemetery.  Mr. Pitre, a retired city employee of Ville Platte, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Savoy Memorial Hospital of Mamou following a short illness.  Survivors include his wife, the former Euna Guillory of Ville Platte; a son, Gerald W. Pitre of Ville Platte; two brothers, Madison Pitre of Belaire Cove and E.T. Pitre of Ville Platte; two sisters, Mrs. Lindsey Fontenot and Mrs. Horace Ardoin, both of Ville Platte.  Ardoin Funeral Home of Ville Platte is directing.

Obituary:  The Ville Platte Gazette (Ville Platte, LA), Thursday, 11 January 2001:  Mrs. Euna Pitre, April 11, 1921 - January 6, 2001 - Funeral services were held for Mrs. Euna Pitre, 79, of Ville Platte at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m., Monday, January 8th.  Burial followed in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery.  A homemaker, Mrs. Pitre died Saturday, January 6, 2001, at Savoy Care Center after a long illness.  Survivors include her son, Gerald Pitre of Ville Platte; and one sister, Mrs. Cleveland (Elsie Mae) 'Blonde' Fontenot of Ville Platte.  She was preceded in death by husband, Easy Pitre.  Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
