Obituary: The Times (Shreveport, LA), Wednesday, 13 January 1971: Lake Charles - Emerson Peet, 57, a Lake Charles fire department captain, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the St. Margaret Catholic Church. Burial will be in Consolotta Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Survivors are his widow: six sons, Emerson Peet Jr. of Moss Bluff, Norman Peet, Allan Peet and Keith Peet, all of Houston, and Mark Peet and Daniel Peet, both of Lake Charles; three daughters, Mrs. Eula George of Pineville, Mrs. Amy Reynolds and Mrs. JoAnn Simon, both of Lake Charles; two brothers, David Peet of Kinder and Earl Peet of Moss Bluff; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Burnett, Mrs. Lessie Landreneaux and Mrs. Celeste Courville, all of Lake Charles; and 18 grandchildren.

Obituary: Johnson Funeral Home: Evelyn Cecilia Blanchette Peet, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2010 in a local care facility. Born in Sulphur, Louisiana, to Theodore and Cleona Aucoin Blanchette, Mrs. Peet lived most of her life in the Lake Charles, southwest Louisiana area. Married at sixteen, Mrs. Peet had nine children. Her entire life was devoted to her family. She loved to cook, read, dance and listen to Cajun music. She had a great sense of humor. Mrs. Peet was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Mrs. Peet is survived by five sons, Norman Peet and wife Bertha of Lake Charles, Allan Peet and wife Ruby of Houston, Keith Peet and wife Doobie of Puerto Rico, Mark Peet and wife DeAnn of Lacassine and Daniel Peet and wife Georgia of Lake Charles; three daughters, Eula George of Pineville, Amy Reynolds and husband Jack of Moss Bluff and JoAnn Simon and husband Robert of Toledo Bend; one brother, A. J. Blanchette of Lake Charles; two sisters, Margaret LeBlanc of Lake Charles and Dorothy Fields of Bundicks Lake; 29 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Donna Armistead Peet of Moss Bluff. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 35 years, Emerson Peet, Sr.; one son, Emerson Peet, Jr.; two grandchildren, Kimberly Beth Peet and John Calton Simon; one brother, Adam Blanchette; and one son-in-law, Robert A. George. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, April 26, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Sunday will be from 4 PM until 9 PM with a scripture service and rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Deacon Jack Reynolds will officiate. Visitation Monday will be from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home. P allbearers will be Mrs. Peet's grandsons, Todd Peet, Terry Peet, Russell George, Matthew Peet, Phillip Reynolds and Michael Reynolds. Mrs. George was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many and will be dearly missed. Her husband, Robert A. George, Sr.; son, Russell Anthony George; parents, Emerson, Sr. and Evelyn Blanchette Peet; and brothers, Emerson Peet, Jr., Alan Peet and Keith Ray Peet, precede her in death. Amy Lois Peet: American Press (Lake Charles, LA), Saturday, 24 August 2024: Amy Peet Reynolds, 86, passed away peacefully on the morning of Aug. 23, 2024. She was born on April 22, 1938, in Lake Charles, La. Amy was a 1956 graduate of St. Charles Academy, and she met the love of her life, the Rev. Deacon Jack Reynolds the same year. Amy pursued her passion for education by earning both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from McNeese State University. She dedicated her life to teaching and spent 33 years as an educator at Mossville and Molo Middle School. Amy's commitment to her students and her love for teaching left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was a faithful member of St. Theodore's Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Her greatest love was her family, and she cherished making those close to her laugh. Emerson Anthony Peet: Obit from Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles, LA: Emerson "Buck" Peet Jr., 69, passed away on Friday February 26, 2010 in Houston, TX. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and is a retired Fire Chief having served for 36 years with the Lake Charles Fire Department. He loved gardening, music and had two bands; Buck Peet and the music makers and The Westerners. Buck also loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Donna Armistead Peet of Moss Bluff, his mother Evelyn Blanchette Peet of Lake Charles. Three sons; Todd and wife Karen Peet of Moss Bluff, Terry and wife Michelle Peet of Moss Bluff and Troy Peet of Houston, TX. His daughter, Kristi and husband Bill Wakim of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by his five brothers; Norman Peet of Lake Charles, Allen Peet of Houston, TX., Keith Peet of Puerto Rico, Mark Peet of Lacassine, Danny Peet of Lake Charles, three sisters; Eula George of Pineville, Amy Reynolds of Moss Bluff and Joanne Simon of Toledo Bend. Mark was born Nov. 9, 1954, in Lake Charles, La. to Emerson and Evelyn Peet and was a lifelong resident of the Southwest Louisiana area. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School and later worked for Calgon Carbon Corporation as a Senior Technical Sales Representative. Mark was one of the kindest, most joyful people you could ever meet. His favorite place was Toledo Bend, but he was always happiest when surrounded by those he loved, no matter the location. Mark enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and watching the birds from his back porch. He never met a stranger and could make anyone feel welcome. Mark was the best husband, father, Paw Paw, brother, and friend anyone could ask for. His unwavering love for his family and his steadfast faith in the Lord defined his life and will leave an unforgettable impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, DeAnn Peet. Cherishing his memory are his children, Staci Boudreaux (Howard), Mark "Marcus" Peet Jr., Lauren Jackson (Justin), Matthew Peet (Briana), and Libby Bush (Micheal). Mark will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Evan Jackson, Easton Jackson, Madilyn Boudreaux, Logan Boudreaux, Adalynn Peet, and Emerson Peet.
