Obituary Pitre: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 3 November 2012: Etienne "Fotch" Pitre, a native of Galliano and a resident of Galliano/Golden Meadow, was born Oct. 25, 1916 and died Oct. 30, 2012. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. till funeral time, 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Cheramie Cemetery. He is survived by his daughters, Elaine Alario and husband Terry Alario, Julia Leday and husband Donald "Cheese" Leday; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Yvonne Williams Pitre; parents, Duard and Blanche Charpentier Pitre; daughters, Kathleen Lee and Carrie Lou Chatagnir; brothers, Gilbert Pitre; sisters, Bella Brunet, Blaze Winfrie, Aline Plaisance; and one grandchild. Obituary: Falgout Funeral Home (LA), 7 March 1990: Funeral services were today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Marie D. Cheramie, 88, a native of Leeville and resident of Golden Meadow, who died Wednesday at 7:46 a.m. Interment is in the church cemetery. She is survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Cheramie; daughter, Yvonne Pitre; parents, Paul and Mona Dantin Callais; brothers, Octave, Paul and Camille Callais; and sisters, Julie Duet, Julia Alario, Mia Collins and Tedul Guidry. died 12:15 p.m. Wednesday in Houma. Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Thursday
from Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and remain until funeral time. The
funeral is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday from Our Lady of Prompt Succor
Catholic Church in Galliano. Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Etienne Pitre; one son, Michael Jarreau;
two daughters, Mrs. Terry Alario and Mrs. Rudy LeBlanc; two brothers,
Clarence Jr. and Edless Williams; two sisters, Mrs. Dave Terrebonne and
