Funeral from his late residence, 95 Howard St., Cambridge, Saturday, May 6 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pauls Church, Cambridge at 10 am. Samuel Earnest Peters: Patriot Ledger (Quincy, MA), Thursday, 14 Jan 1993: Ernest J. Peters. Plymouth - Ernest J. Peters, 93, of Plymouth, a native of Prince Edward Island, Canada, and a former painter for the Army Corps of Engineers, died Tuesday at Jordan Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Peters also worked as a machinist for the Plymouth Cordage Co. and as a chauffeur for the Hornblower Estate in Plymouth. Husband of the late Dorothy F. (Boutin) Peters, he is survived by two stepsons, Eldon Burgess of Hawthorne, Calif., and Richard Burgess of West Hills, Calif.; several brothers and sisters in Nova Scotia, Canada; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in Chiltonville Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements were made by the Cartmell Funeral Home.
