Obituary:  Thief River Falls Times (MN), Tuesday, 5 January 1999:  Oklee - Edmund "Ed" LaJambe, 90, died Tuesday, January 5, 1999 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee with Reverend Robert Paulson officiating.  Marian Marquis was the organist, and vocal music was provided by Donna Sherman and LaVonne Enerson.  Casketbearers were Edmund's grandsons: Wade Piccolo, Jason Knutson, Brett Gonsior, Benji Hofstad, Eddie Piccolo, Ryan Gonsior and Darrin Hofstad.  Honorary casketbearers were his granddaughters: Jacquie Knutson Kuennen, Angele Gonsior Stewart, Kelli Jo Hofstad, Danielle LaJambe and Haley LaJambe.  Burial was in Zion Cemetery near Oklee. The Petterson Funeral Home of Oklee was in charge of the arrangements.  Edmund LaJambe was born on May 26, 1908 in Lambert township of Red Lake county, the son of Gaspard and Adeline (Langlois) LaJambe.  He grew up in Lambert township and attended country school.  Ed worked at several jobs and later worked in Anchorage, AK for sometime.  On October 24, 1939 he married Doris Riel in Oklee.  The couple lived on a farm near Trail for nine years.  In 1948 they moved to Oklee where Ed worked for the Red Lake County Highway Department for 23 years.  Ed's interests included horses and gardening.  He enjoyed playing cards, telling stories and spending time with his family.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  Survivors include his wife, Doris of Oklee; four daughters, Barbara (Terry) Knutson of Bloomington, Betty (Joe) Piccolo of Becker, LaVonne (Gene) Gross of River Falls, WI, and Ardis (Rene) Hofstad of Oklee; two sons, Robert LaJambe of Red Lake Falls and Jon (Karen) LaJambe of Eagan; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rena Culhane of Anchorage, AK, Antoinette Alexander of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and Alice (Edward) Morressette of Bemidji; and one brother, Walter (Gladys) LaJambe of "The Pas" Manitoba, Canada.  Ed was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; an infant grandson, Jeremy; five sisters, Ada LaJambe, Evelyn Loiland, Rose Varin, Bernadette Howden and Marie LaMout; and three brothers, Albert LaJambe, Edward LaJambe and Lester LaJambe.

- Robert LaJambe, 60, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.  Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee, MN with Rev. Robert Paulson and Rev. Gary Graff officiating.  Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Oklee.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church.  Robert Duane LaJambe was born on April 20, 1944 in Thief River Falls the son of Edmund and Doris (Riel) LaJambe.  He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee and attended school in Oklee.  Bobby lived at home with his parents until the age of 23.  Then he lived for a short time in Brainerd, Fergus Falls, and for the last 15 years in Red Lake Falls.  Bobby worked at the O.D.C. in Red Lake Falls.  He loved country music, animals and making crafts.  Bobby loved his group home family and his fellow work family at the ODC.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee and attended the last years at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls.  Survivors include his mother, Doris LaJambe of Oklee; brothers and sisters, Barbara (Terry) Knutson of Bloomington, MN, Elizabeth (Joe) Piccolo of Becker, MN, LaVonne (Gene) Goss of River Falls, WI, Ardis (Rene) Hofstad of Oklee, MN, and Jon (Karen) LaJambe of Eagen, MN; several nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Knutson, Jason Knutson, Wade Piccolo, Eddie Piccolo, Brett Gonsior, Ryan Gonsior, Angele Stewart, Benjamin Hofstad, Darrin Hofstad, Kelli Jo Bedow, Danielle LaJambe, Haley LaJambe; and several great nieces and nephews.  Bobby is preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Edmund LaJambe; and an infant brother.
