Obituary: The Brunswick Record (Brunswick, ME), Thursday, 15
October 1936: Topsham Locals: Edward Peters died Monday,
Oct.12, at the State Street Hospital, in Portland, from blood poisoning, caused
from an infected foot. Mr. Peters was born In Prince Edwards Island, in
1871, and had lived in Topsham about forty years. He married Lucy
Tarbox, in 1893, who died eight years ago. He is survived by a
brother, Gilbert of New York; two sisters, Mrs. Agnez Joley of
Kittery; and Mrs. Frazer of Bath; four children, John and Ralph Peters
of Topsham, Mrs. Wilbur Hall of Brunswick, and Clarence Peters of
Laconia, N.H.; also five grandchildren.

Obituary: Kennebec Journal (ME), Wednesday, 20 March 1929: Topsham - Mrs. Lucy J. Peters, wife of Edward J. Peters, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Mar. 13, at her home on the Middlesex road following an attach of pneumonia. Mrs. Peters was born in Topsham, Dec. 28, 1867, the daughter of James and Agnes Muir Tarbox. She is survived by her husband and three sons, John, who has been passing the winter at home, Ralph of Topsham and Clarence of Cambridge, Mass.; and one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Hall of Cathance. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Maria Graves of Cathance and a half sister, Mrs. Ann Farrin of Bath. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the home. Burial was at Rogers cemetery.

John Gilbert Peters: The Times Record (Brunswick, ME), Monday, 1 November 1982: Topsham - John G. Peters, 88, of the Middlesex Road, died Saturday, Oct. 30, at a Greene nursing home. He was born Dec. 17, 1893, in Topsham, the son of Edward J. and Lucy J. Tarbox Peters. He attended Topsham schools. Mr. Peters was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post 202. Prior to World War I, he worked at Bath Iron Works. After the war he worked on dam construction until his retirement in 1963. He is survived by a sister, Marian MacGee of Topsham; three nieces and four nephews. A funeral was held today at the Stetson Funeral Home, Brunswick. The Rev. Joseph L. Beardsley officiated. Burial was in Rogers Cemetery.

Ralph Dewey Peters: Evening Express (Portland, ME), Friday, 2 April 1976: Topsham - Ralph D. Peters, 78, of West Scarborough, formerly of Middlesex Road here, died Thursday at a Portland hospital after a short illness. He was born here, March 27, 1898, a son of Edward and Lucy Tarbox Peters, and attended local schools. During a long working career which ended in retirement at the age of 73 he was employed in numerous industries. Included were construction, feldspar mining, tree harvesting and shipbuilding. For many years he was also a Merrymeeting Bay guide. Surviving are a son, Ralph E. of West Scarborough, with whom he lived for the last five years; two brothers, Clarence of Dover, N.H., and John of Gardiner; a sister, Mrs. Roy (Marion) MacGee of Topsham; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Stetson Funeral Home, Brunswick. Spring interment will be in Rogers Cemetery here.
