Obituary: The Saginaw News (Saginaw, MI), Thursday, 27 February 1964: Petre, Elmer H., St. Petersburg, Florida. Former Saginaw resident passed away Tuesday morning in St. Petersburg, Fla. Age 62 years. He was born Jan. 29, 1902, in Saginaw, and moved to Flint in 1935, and lived there until 1961, when he moved to Florida. He was a member of the Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, Fla. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Ned Rozenger, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Frank Foy, Mrs. Glenn Taylor and Mrs. Mary Baird, all of Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a brother-in-law, Edward Rowe, Saginaw. Funeral service will take place at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Case Chapel, 9 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Horton officiating. Friends may call at the chapel after 6 p.m. Thursday, where they will meet with relatives at 8:30 p.m. Friday to say the Rosary.
