Obituary: Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 20 May 1968: On Saturday morning, May 18, 1968, at 9:00, John Delbert Pitre, husband of Rosemary Johnson, father of Timothy Scott and Randy Mark Pitre, son of Mrs. Emma Devillier and the late Alfred Pitre, brother of Mrs. Barbara P. Harmon and Deborah Ann Devillier. Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Southern Pacific Transport Co., J.C. Penney Co., and officers and members of the So. Also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Pitre retired from South Central Bell after 25 years of service. Services were held at Tharp-Sontheimer-Thapr, Metairie. Followed by interment in Garden of Memories

Pitre, 45, a native of Metairie and a resident of St. John Parish and St. Charles Parish, died Nov. 8. He was the son of Rosemary Johnson Pitre and the late John Pitre. He is survived by his son Randy M. Stata. He is also survived by a brother and a companion Danielle Davidson. Services were held Nov. 18 at Thibodaux Funeral Service, New Orleans, with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
