Obituary: Daily World (Opelousas), Friday, 27 December 1974: Prairie Ronde - Delton Joseph Pitre, 57, died Thursday at 12:30 a.m. in the St. Landry Clinic after a brief illness. He was a farmer and a life-long resident of Prairie Ronde. Survivors include his widow, the former Lou Ella Brown; two step-sons, Glenn Rozas and Nicholas Rozas, both of Opelousas; two daughters, Mrs. James A. Robin and Mrs. Gerald Champagne both of Opelousas, and one step-daughter, Bobbie Guinn of Alexandria; two brothers, Leroy Pitre of Prairie Ronde and Dallas Pitre of Swords; one sister, Mrs. Theodore Vassur of Prairie Ronde and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Prairie Ronde Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.

Obituary: Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Friday, 10 July 1998: Funeral services for Mrs. Gilbert Ledoux, the former Pearl Bertrand, 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel on the Old Sunset Hwy. in Opelousas with burial in Bellevue Memorial. The Rev. Mark Ramsey will conduct the services. Mrs. Ledoux, a resident of Opelousas, died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 1998, in Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas. She was a housewife. Survivors include: two daughters, Betty P. Robin and Myrtle P. Champagne, both of Opelousas; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Ledoux was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Ledoux; her parents, Eraste and Bertha Bertrand; six brothers, Marion, Jessie, Heard, Gervais "Buck" Sr., Aldus "Black" and Loyce Bertrand; and a sister, Beulah B. Lavergne. Visiting hours will be observed from 2 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Obituary: The Eunice News (Eunice, LA), Thursday, 15 October 2015: (photo) Luella B. Pitre , 1927 to 2015 - Eunice - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Luella B. Pitre announces her passing at the Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. She was 87. A Celebration of Life was held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment followed in the Prairie Ronde Baptist Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Luella was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her two sons, Nicholas Rozas and wife, Betty of Breaux Bridge and Glenn Rozas and wife, Janine of Opelousas; four sisters, Mary Brignac, Jackie Bollich, Francil Motte all of Eunice, and Sandra West of Opelousas; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Delton Pitre; daughter, Bobbie Lynn Quattlebaum; and parents, Agnes and Mafie Guillory Brown. At the request of the family, visitation was held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, October 12th from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, October 13th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin recited a Rosary at 5:00 pm Monday evening. Ardoin's Fuyneral Home was in charge of arrangements.
