Obituary:  Edmonton Journal (Edmonton, ALB), Thursday, 5 January 1950:  Mr. Donald Peters on January 2, Mr. Donald Peters of 12013 85 street passed away at the age of 65 years.  He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Rose Isabel Peters, two sons and two daughters Eric and Ernie of Westview, B.C., Mrs. Lillian Dickens and Mrs. Edna Parker of Edmonton, ten grandchildren, one brother and three sisters, George Petrie of Vancouver, B.C., Mrs. Charles Lange of Ohio, U.S.A.; Mrs. Francis Stevens of California, Mrs. Joe Vienneau of New Brunswick.  Prayer services will be held on Friday January 6 at 8:30 p.m. at the Chapel on The Boulevard.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Alphonsus Church, Rev. Father McElligott will officiate.  Interment will take place in the Soldiers Plot in the Edmonton Catholic Cemetery.  Park Memorial Ltd., Funeral Administrators and Directors; The Chapel on The Boulevard.

Obituary:  Edmonton Journal (Edmonton, ALB), Tuesday, 18 December 1962:  Peters - On December 17, Mrs. Rose Isabell Peters, 9674 - 99 St., aged 73 years.  She leaves two sons, Eric Peters, Powell River, B.C., Ernie Peters, Lethbridge; two daughters, Mrs. Ernie Parker, Ponoka; Mrs. E. Dickens, Derwent; 21 grandchildren.  Funeral services, Wednesday 3:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home, Rev. E. Dockerty will officiate with interment in Westlawn Memorial Park.  Connelly-McKinley Ltd.

Edna Winnifred Peters:  Edna W. (Peters) Parker, May 15, 1916 - September 24, 2019 (age 103):  Edna was born May 15, 1916 the oldest child of Rose & Donald Peters in Croydon, England.  She moved to Edmonton when she was 3 years old and she resided there until the family moved to Ponoka in August of 1960 when her husband, Ernie, was transferred to the Alberta Hospital Ponoka for work.  Edna also had 53 great-grandchildren, she was predeceased by her husband Ernie (1971) daughter Gwen Pugh (1982) an infant son, great-granddaughter Reagan Knight (2019) and great-grandson Joplin Parker (2019).  She will be missed by many for she had a generous heart and was always hospitable and kind.  Edna was a super strong woman in life and in her faith.
