Obituaries for the children:

Roxie Joe Pitre:  Iberts Mortuary Inc:  Roxie Pitre Landry, August 9, 1942 - March 29, 2024:  Roxie Pitre Landry passed away peacefully surrounded in love at her home in Franklin on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. She was 81.  Roxie was born in Jeanerette on August 9, 1942, the second of three children born to the union of Charles (Tom) and Elise Pitre.  A graduate of Jeanerette High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Billy Landry, on January 17, 1962.  Of their union they were blessed with six children.  A deeply spiritual woman, Roxie cherished her Catholic faith and strove her entire life to further deepen her love for the Lord.  She never shied away from sharing her faith and loved bringing others closer to God, especially children, of which she taught Catechism and was a previous Director of Religious Education at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin.  She was also an active member of the Cursillo Movement for over 30 years, serving as a past Professor and Music Minister and was a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Assumption.  Her faith wasn't merely a profession but was a necessary way of life.  Her loving nature and unconditional compassion was evident to all who crossed her path in life.  She truly loved and cared with all her heart.  To quote one of her granddaughters, she also gave “the best hugs!”  Many will remember Roxie from her many years working at the former Franklin Foundation Hospital where she was a ward clerk.  She was also a gifted painter and musician, playing the accordion, harmonica, and guitar to name a few.  This side of eternity is a lesser place without her beautiful smile, her boisterous laugh, and loving heart.  This is not goodbye though, but rather, see you later.  Roxie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Billy Landry; their six children, Debbie Tibbs and her husband Bryant, Jodi Arnold and her husband Troy, Rachel Ancona and her husband Benny, Billy Landry Jr., Chip Landry and his wife Chantelle, and Jill Champagne and her husband Kirk; 19 grandchildren, Andy (Shani), Megan (Cody), Mason (Amy), Avery, Karsen (Adrian), Trey (Elizabeth), Zachary (Sarah), Sarah (Brett), Chelsie (Brendan), Beau (Lauren), Halstonn, Trinity, Promise, Blaze, Brooklynne (Corey), Bubba (Morgan), Ashley, Emily (Nick), and Austin; 21 great-grandchildren, Haylee, Rylee, Norah, Liam, Jude, Annabeth, Lily, Rosalie, Frank, Emmytt, Samuel, Rowan, Jett, Simon, Jack, Celia, Luca, Theodore, Kai, Kinsley, and Palmer; her sister, LouJuanna P. Arton and her husband Terry; her niece, Chris; and her nephews, Kurt and Woody.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Thomas Pitre Sr. and Elise Hebert Pitre Aucoin; her brother, Charles Thomas Pitre Jr.; and her step-father, Lester Aucoin.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin during a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial.  Following the Mass she will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum.  Father Joel Faulk will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.  A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 AM at the church, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:30 AM led by her Cursillo Sisters.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., Franklin, LA
