Earl Paul Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 21 June 2004:  Earl Paul Pitre Sr., a retired auto mechanic, died Friday at Chalmette Medical Center.  He was 82.  Mr. Pitre was born in Houma and lived in Chalmette for the past 35 years.  He was an Army veteran of World War II and received a Bronze Star.  He was a member and former commander of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 7610.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Santos Pitre; two sons, James and Terrance Pitre; two sisters, Eula Sovine and Joyce Malcolm; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.  A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Memorial, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette.  Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, Miss.

Beulah 'Eula' Marie Pitre:  Charleston Gazette (WV) - Sunday, April 20, 2008 - Marie Sovine, 83, of Hurricane passed away at home Thursday, April 17, 2008, after a short illness.  She loved working in her garden, ceramics, bingo and being with friends and family.  She was preceded in death by her son, Buckey.  Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Ed Sovine; daughter and her husband, Brenda and Ray Epling; son and his wife, Bobby and Gayla Sovine; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 21, at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane, with the Rev. Jim McGehee officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery.  Friends and family may call two hours prior to the service.

Emile John Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Friday, 8 April 1977 - Emile John (Pete) Pitre, on Thursday, April 7, 1977 at 2:00 o'clock a.m., beloved husband of Patsy Hebert, son of the late Emma Lebouef and Clemile Pitre, father of Kerry, Jill, Mamie, Chad and Mickey Pitre, brother of Mrs. Eula Sovine, Mrs. Joyce Malcolm, Earl and Allen Pitre.  Aged 48 years.  A native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Bernard Parish for the past 25 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees Kaiser Aluminum and Coca Cola Bottling Co. of New Orleans, members of Guys and Dolls Bowling League, Kaiser Bowling League, Trio Belles Bowling League and Garden Low Average League, are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the St. Bernard Funeral Home of Lamana-Panna-Fallo Inc., 7701 St. Bernard Hwy, Arabi, on Saturday, April 9, 1977 at 11:00 o'clock am.  Requiem Mass in parlor, interment in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday.
