Obituary:  New Orleans States (LA), Sunday, 5 April 1925:  Carl Pitre Buried - Thibodaux, La., April 4 - Carl Pitre, 30, died in New Orleans after having been removed from Thibodaux to receive medical treatment at one of the hospitals.  Mr. Pitre was employed by the Teche Transfer Co.  Funeral services were held Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.  Members of the Woodmen of the World; Protector Fire Company No. 2, and employees of the Teche Transfer Company attending in a body.  The deceased is survived by his wife and three small daughters.

Misc.:  Thibodaux Commercial Journal (LA), Saturday, 10 December 1921:  On Wednesday night a thief or thieves entered the residence of Mr. Carl Pitre in the Lefort Annex and relieved the occupants of $80 in cash and an automatic revolver, after which Mr. Pitre's clothing was thrown in yard, Mr. Pitre was made aware of the robbery by his brother-in-law, Mr. Andre Adam, seeing the clothes in yard when going to early Mass.  It is to be hoped the culprit is caught and given well merited punishment.

Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 10 January 1966:  Of Algiers, Louisiana, on Saturday, January 8, 1966 at 7:30 o'clock p.m., Lena Ora Keller, beloved wife of the late Carl Pitre, mother of Mrs. Ruth La Rocca, Mrs. Catherine Roux, and Mrs. Lorraine Hullinghorst; daughter of the late Marie Chaisson and Edgar Keller; sister of Mrs. Beulah McKeever, Mrs. Raoul Arceneaux, Mrs. Lucy Mae Robicheaux, Joseph, Robert, C.J., Charles, Edgar, Guy and Yves Keller.  Also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Age 66 years, a native of Napoleonville, La., and a resident of Algiers, La. for the past 35 years.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from Mothe Funeral Homes Inc., 1300 Vallette street, Algiers, La., on Monday, January 10, 1966 at 11:30 o'clock a.m.  Requiem Low Mass at St. Julian Eymard Church.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

Ruth Dorothy Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Thursday, 26 August 2010:  Ruth Pitre LaRocca passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 9:07 p.m.  Beloved wife of the late Dominic James LaRocca.  Loving mother of Virginia Bennett, James, Ruth, Dominic and Jerome LaRocca, Carolyn LaRocca Tyner and Carl L. LaRocca.  Sister of Lorraine Hullinghorst and the late Catherine Roux.  Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Aged 91 years.  A native of Thibodaux, Louisiana and a resident of Harahan, Louisiana for the past six years.  Mrs. LaRocca was a former parishioner of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and will be loved and missed by all who knew her.  The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to Hospice Associates of New Orleans, nurses and staff of St. Joseph's Nursing and Rehab Center and Julius Martin (Carol's lifetime partner), for the love and care that they provided.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on Friday morning, August 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
