Obituary: The Courier (Houma, LA), Wednesday, 4 October 1978: Curtis Joseph Pitre, a resident of 221 Pitre St., died Aug. 22 at 4:05 a.m. in New Orleans at the age of 64. Funeral services are scheduled for today at 3 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment followed by in the church cemetery. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Claudet Neal of Jackson, Miss.; three brothers, Harry, Irvin Sr. and Joseph Obry Pitre of Houma; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Babin of Gretna and Mrs. Edward Trosclair of Jefferson Parish. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Elcie, Elie, Evans, Ephie and Willsie Pitre and one sister, Mrs. Lelia Malbrough. Arrangements are being handled by Chauvin's Funeral Home.
