Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Mrs. Helene Pitre - Chamberlain Settlement - Mrs. Helene Pitre, 95, wife of the late Clarence J. Pitre, of Chamberlain Settlement, passed away on Sunday (March 5, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in Lameque, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Malvina (Noel) Ross.  She was pre-deceased by her husband, Clarence J. Pitre, in 2000.  She was the last member of her immediate family.  She is survived by: Three sons: Edward Pitre (Shirley) of Rough Waters, Laurier Pitre (Janet) of Moncton, Jean Claude Pitre, of Chamberlain Settlement; One daughter: Hilda Stolleker (Bruce) of Montreal, Que.; 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by a son, Michael, in 1976.  There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (March 8, 2006) at 10:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St.  Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, East Bathurst.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.

Edward Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Edward Pitre - Rough Waters, NB - Edward Pitre, 79, of Rough Waters, passed away on Saturday (August 7, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the Clarence and Helen (Ross) Pitre.  He was a former employee of Brunswick Mines and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club.  Edward was very active in his community and Church.  Besides he wife, Shirley (Chamberlain) Pitre, he is survived by: One daughter: Monique Pitre (Sean Gorman) of Toronto, ON; One grandson: Damian Gorman of Toronto, ON; Two brothers: Laurier Pitre of Petit-Rocher; Jean Claude of Chamberlain Settlement; One sister: Hilda Stolliker (Bruce) of Montreal, QC; Many nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by a brother; Michael.  There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (August 11, 2010) at 2 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Edward may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
