Pearl Pitre:  The Courier (Houma, LA), 6 March 2017:   Pearl Mary Pitre Bourg, 89, died Feb. 28, 2017, at 10:05 a.m.  She was a native and resident of Grand Caillou, La.  Visitation will be held Monday, March 6, 2017, from 9 a.m. until funeral time at Holy Family Catholic Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.  Burial will be held in Holy Family Cemetery.  She is survived by her sons, Blaine P. Bourg and wife, Wanda, and Deron A. Bourg and wife, Deborah; daughter, Melanie B. Fabre and husband, Terry; brother, Herbert Pitre Jr. and wife, Lorita; sister, Enola P. Lirette; grandchildren, Jansen Bourg and wife, Jennifer, Meredith Bourg, Lauren LeCompte and husband, Jesse Sr., Jackson Fabre, Brandon Ruttley and wife, Georgia, and Christopher Ruttley and wife, Crissy; great-grandchildren, Hagen Niette, Parker Blakemon, Logan Chauvin, Gavin Bourg, Mia Bourg, Kole Achee, Kodi Bourg, Jesse LeCompte Jr., a baby girl on the way, Adeline Ruttley, Mary Ruttley, baby on the way, Noah Ruttley and Cameron Ruttley.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Antoine Hillary Bourg; parents, Herbert Cyrus Sr. and Ortise Thibodeaux Pitre; sisters, Eva Grube Carlos and husband, Lincoln, Mary Louise Authement and husband, Ivan Sr., and JoAnn Pitre.  She was a devout Catholic, whose prayer list and acts of charity were endless.  She was a member of the church choir for 40 years, sold fair tickets door to door, member of the Altar Society and served on the finance committee for Holy Family Church.  She was a retired manager of the Grand Caillou Recreation District #4.  She loved her family unconditionally.  She loved cooking for family gatherings.  Her wealth of knowledge and life experiences that she shared with us will be a great lost to many.

 

Mary Louise Pitre:  Houma Courier (Houma, LA), 10 August 2006:  Mary "Tut" Pitre Authement, 72, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006.  Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Knights of Columbus Hall and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.  She is survived by her husband, Ivan Authement Sr. of Chauvin; two sons, Ivan Authement Sr. and wife, Jenny, and Wayne Authement and wife, Roxanne, of Chauvin; two daughters, Marla Davis and husband, Scottie, and Sandra Sevin and husband, Joey, of Chauvin; one brother, Herbert Pitre Jr. of Grand Caillou; three sisters, Enola Lirette, Pearl Bourg and Jo Ann Pitre of Grand Caillou; 10 grandchildren, Sandi Authement Chauvin, Summer Authement Pinell, Brandi Davis Daigle, Downi Davis Curry, Pete Davis, Jonas Sevin, Brennan Sevin, Bethanie Authement, Brittany Verdin and Ashley Verdin; and six great-grandchildren, Brianna Chauvin, Chyna Chauvin, Zachary Daigle, Kaitlin Daigle, Lily Pinell and Caroline Curry.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Pitre Sr. and Ortise Thibodeaux Pitre; and one sister, Eva Carlos.  She was a paraprofessional for Terrebonne Parish School Board and a member of the Ladies Altar Society and Ward 7 Citizens Club.  She was a loving wife, mother and sister.  She took great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Twenty-eight years of her life was dedicated to enriching the lives of the young children she worked with in the Terrebonne Parish School System.  She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Jo Ann Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA)::  Joann Marie Pitre, 78, a native of Grand Calliou, LA and a resident of Dulac,
LA, died Friday, October 31, 2014.  Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Dulac, LA from 9 am - 11am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Dulac, LA.  Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Dulac, LA.  Survived by: sisters - Pearl Bourg and Enola Lirette, brother - Herbert Pitre, Jr., numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by: parents - Herbert Pitre, Sr. and Ortise Thibodeaux Pitre, sisters - Eva Grube Carlos and Mary Louise Authement.  Joann was deeply devoted to her faith and the care of her family.  She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, Dulac, LA.
