Obituary: The Windsor Star (Windsor, Ont), Friday, 4 July 1947: Mrs. Charles Pitre - Mrs. Mary Pitre, 86, of Pike Creek, widow of Charles Pitre, died today at home following a long illness. She was born in Tecumseh and had lived in that area all her life. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Catholic Women's League of St. Anne's Church, Tecumseh. Mrs. Pitre is survived by three sons, Alex and Albert, both of Detroit, and James of Pike Creek; one daughter, Mrs. Henry Buckwheat (Minnie); and 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted on Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Janisse Brothers Funeral Home to St. Anne's Church, Tecumseh, at 9:30 a.m. There will be prayers tonight at 9 o'clock at the funeral home. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Charles Alexandre Pitre: Flint Journal (Flint, MI), Monday, 25 June 1973: Peters, Alec C. - 818 E. Marengo, age 87, died Monday, June 25, 1973, at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Vernon Chapel, Brown Funeral Home, Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating. Mr. Peters will lie in state at the Brown Funeral Home. Visitation 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mr. Peters was born in Canada, October 12, 1885, and he had been a resident of Detroit, before moving to Flint 10 years ago. He had been employed as a crane operator by Michigan Steel Castings of Detroit, retiring in 1956. Surviving are Wife, Julia A.; brother, James Peters of Ontario, Canada; half-brother, Bert Peters of Roseville, Michigan, nephew, Gordon Buckwheat of Flint, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Buckwheat was born in Maidstone Twp. and lived in Chatham for 20 years, before coming to Emeryville. She was a member of St. William's Church, Emeryville. Surviving are her husband, Henry; five sons, Gordon, of Davison, Mich., Barney, of Garden City, Mich., Carl, of London, Ont., Lloyd, of Emeryville, and Miles, of Chatham; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (May) Cavanaugh, of Warren, Mich., and Mrs. George (Mildred) Parent, of Sandwich East Twp.; three brothers, Alex and Albert Peters, of Detroit, and James Pitre of Windsor; and 24 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Marcotte Funeral Home, Tecumseh, and 10 a.m. at St. William's Church, Emeryville. Prayers will be said this evening at 8 o'clock. Marie Emelie Elizabeth Pitre: The Windsor Star (Ont), Friday, 29 July 1927: Mrs. Emily Suzor, 35, of Pike Creek, died in Hotel Dieu at noon today, following a brief illness. Mrs. Suzor was admitted to the hospital two days ago. She was the mother of two boys, Ezra, 8, and Clarence, 9 months, and the wife of Isidore Suzor. Her mother is Mrs. Charles Pitre of Pike Creek. Other surviving relatives include three brothers, James, Alex and Bert of Pike Creek, and a sister, Mrs. Henry Buckwheat, of Detroit.
