Obituary:  Flint Journal (Flint, MI), Monday, 25 June 1973:  Peters, Alec C. - 818 E. Marengo, age 87, died Monday, June 25, 1973, at Flint Osteopathic Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Vernon Chapel, Brown Funeral Home, Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating.  Mr. Peters will lie in state at the Brown Funeral Home.  Visitation 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Mr. Peters was born in Canada, October 12, 1885, and he had been a resident of Detroit, before moving to Flint 10 years ago.  He had been employed as a crane operator by Michigan Steel Castings of Detroit, retiring in 1956.  Surviving are Wife, Julia A.; brother, James Peters of Ontario, Canada; half-brother, Bert Peters of Roseville, Michigan, nephew, Gordon Buckwheat of Flint, several nieces and nephews.

Obituary:  The Times Herald (Port Huron, MI), Friday, 5 June 1959:  Mrs. Alex Peters:  Mrs. Dora Peters, 77, wife of Alex Peters, died Thursday in her Detroit home after a long illness.  Mrs. Peters was a frequent visitor here with a daughter, Mrs. June Kelly, 1001 Stanton street.  She is survived by her husband; two sons, Jack Carpenter, California, and Alvis Carpenter, Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Kelly, and Mrs. Jeanette Moore, California; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.  The remains are in the Bagnasco funeral home, Detroit.  Funeral arrangements are not complete.

Marengo, age 84, died Sunday, February 3, 1980 at Hurley Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday, at the Brown Funeral Home, Rev. William J. Rosemurgy officiating.  Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden, Michigan.  Mrs. Peters was born in Isabella County, Michigan, July 4, 1895.  She lived almost her entire life in Flint.  Surviving are son, Leo R. Cook of Flint; 4 grandchildren, Julia, Ann, and George Cook of Houghton Lake, and Katrina Cook of Flint; daughter-in-law, Hiroko Cook of Houghton Lake; brother, Frank Stevens of Birch Run; and other relatives.  Brown Funeral Home.  Visitation 8 AM to 10 PM.
