Obituary: The Courier (Houma, LA), Monday, 16 October 1989: Rita Breaux Pitre, 94, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will be held from 7:30 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Pitre; her parents, Oscar and Louisa Guitreaux Breaux; a son, Lloyd Pitre; two brothers, Paul and Camille Breaux; and a sister, Antoinette Brown. Thibodaux Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
