Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Thursday, 21 January 1960:  Charles Petrie, Former Bradley Selectman, Dies - Bradley, Jan. 20 - Charles Ernest Petrie, 71, of Bradley, long-time selectman here, died suddenly while visiting a store in Bradley Wednesday afternoon.  A member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bradley, he was employed by the Penobscot Chemical Fibre Company for 39 years until his retirement 14 months ago.  He served as first selectman in Bradley for 13 years, and always interested in music, led the PCF band when it was active.  Surviving are his wife, Josephine (Ouellette) Petrie of Bradley; two daughters, Miss Mildred Petrie and Mrs. William Soucy of Bradley; two sons, Robert and Delmont of Bradley; a sister, Mrs. William Stewart of Van Buren; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Remains are at the Baillargeon Funeral Home, 109 Middle Street, Old Town, where friends may call after 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon.  Funeral services will be held 9 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bradley.

Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Wednesday, 5 June 1968:  Mrs. Charles E. Petrie - Bradley - Mrs. Josephine Evelyn Petrie, 82, of Bradley, died Tuesday morning at her home on the Main Road after a short illness.  She was the widow of Charles E. Petrie.  Born in Bradley April 12, 1886, the daughter of Cyphus and Mary (Marquis) Willette, she resided here all of her life and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.  Surviving are two sons, Robert and Delmont Petrie of Bradley; two daughters, Miss Mildred Petrie and Mrs. Hilda Soucie of Bradley; two brothers, Samuel and Forrest Willette of Bradley; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery here.  Friends may call at the Baillargeon Funeral Home, 109 Middle Street, Old Town, where the Rev. Joseph Allard will recite the Rosary today at 7 p.m.

Mildred M. Petrie:  Bradley - Mildred M. Petrie 98, passed away March 13, 2015 at a Bangor hospital.  She was born in Ashland October 7, 1916 the daughter of Charles Petrie and Josephine Willette.  Mildred was a graduate of Old Town High School, class of 1934.  After Graduation, she attended St. Joseph College in Windham.  She worked for the Veteran's Administration in Washington D.C. during the war and a total of 15 years.  She returned to Maine and worked at Chapman's Machine Shop, Old Town and White's Canoe companies and with the University of Maine until retirement.  She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church in Bradley.  Mildred loved to travel and considered her trip to Peru as her favorite.  She lived independently all her life.  She took great pride in driving herself and renewing her license at age 98.  She loved gardening and considered herself as an "Iris Specialist."  She enjoyed her luncheons with her special friends.  Mildred enjoyed and took special pride in reading to the children at the Bradley School as part of the Foster Grandparents Program.  In addition to her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her sister Hilda Soucie and three brothers Robert, Delmont, and Lamont Petrie.  She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Lorraine Monk and husband Arthur, Jeannine Pete, Sally McLaughlin and husband David, Robert Petrie and wife Cheryl, Philip Soucie and wife Sharon, Michael Petrie and Wife Janice, Kate Petrie and spouse Peg; several great nieces and nephews; special neighbors, Peter and Bonnie Cote.  At Mildred's request, there will be no formal funeral services. A spring burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Bradley.

Hildred 'Hilda' Evelyn Petrie:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Monday, 19 February 2007:  (photo) Hilda Evelyn (Petrie) Soucie - Bradley - Hilda Evelyn (Petrie) Soucie, 87, the wife of the late William A. Soucie, passed away Feb. 17, 2007, surrounded by her children.  She was born June 22, 1919, in Ashland, the daughter of Charles and Josephine Petrie.  She married her Billy, March 27, 1940.  Hilda was a life communicant of St. Ann's Catholic Church of Bradley.  Hilda is survived by one sister, Mildred Petrie; three sisters-in-law, Elsie Soucie, Alice Soucie, and Ester Hamilton; three children, Lorraine, her husband, Arthur Monk, Jeanine and her husband, Leo Pete, and Philip and his wife, Sharon Soucie; seven grandchildren, John and his wife, Melanie Monk, Jeff and his wife, Julie Monk, David and his wife, Trisha Pete, Jennifer and her husband, Jay Harvey, Eric and his wife, Janis Monk, Timothy Soucie and Daniel Pete; six great-grandchildren, Miranda Monk, Reid Monk, Brandon Emerson, Jacob Monk, Mara Monk and Rhiannon Pete; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Sally, and her husband, David MacLaughlin.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, William Soucie; and three brothers, Robert Petrie, Delmont and his wife, Dora Petrie, and Lamont Petrie.  She will be sadly missed by her family, amny friends and neighbors.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bradley, with the Rev. Thomas Farley, celebrant and Deacon Fred Harrigan, homilist.  Friends and family are invited to a brunch at the parish hall after the services.  Interment will be in the spring.

Robert Vane Petrie:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Monday, 27 January 2003:  (photo) Robert V. 'Bullet' Petrie - Bradley - Robert V. 'Bullet' Petrie, 81, died Jan. 24, 2003, at a Bangor healthcare facility.  He was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Bradley, the son of Charles and Josephine (Willette) Petrie.  He worked at Georgia Pacific Corp., formerly Penobscot Chemical Fiber Co., in Old Town, for more than 40 years, retiring in 1984.  He was a World War II veteran serving with Company C, 360 Engineer Regiment in England and France.  Robert was a lifelong member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bradley, the Brewer Eagles Club and the Bangor Singles Club.  Robert was an avid hunter, fisherman, woodsman, and superb marksman.  He especially enjoyed many seasons with his hunting buddies, Bill, Barbie, and Arthur, at his camp on Great Works Stream.  He is survived by two sisters, Mildred Petrie and Hilda Soucie, both of Bradley; seven nieces and nephews and their spouses, Lorraine and Arthur Monk of Brewer, Jeannine and Leo Pete of Milford, Sally and David MacLaughlin of Lincoln, Robert and Cheryl Petrie of Benton, Philip and Sharon Soucie of Glenburn, Michael and Janice Petrie of Topsfield, Mass., Kathie Petrie of Dedham; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews, one great-great niece and three great-great nephews.  Robert was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Delmont; brother-in-law, William Soucie; and an infant brother, Lemont.  At his request, there will be no visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bradley, with the Rev. Paul Kerns, pastor, celebrant.  The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the parish hall following the service.  Interment will be this spring in Evergreen Cemetery, Bradley.  For those who wish, memorial contributions in his memory may be sent to St. Ann's Catholic Church or Ronald McDonald House.  A service of Brookings-Smith, Old Town Chapel, 205 Main St., Old Town.

Delmont Claude Petrie:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Tuesday, 6 October 1998:  (photo) Delmont Claude Petrie - Bradley - Delmont Claude Petrie, 74, husband of Dora Petrie, died peacefully, Oct. 5, 1998, at his residence, after a long battle with cancer.  He was born March 14, 1924, in Bradley, a son of Charles Ernest and Josephine (Willett) Petrie.  He worked for James River Corporation, formerly Penobscot Chemical Fiber Company in Old Town for 38 years, retiring in 1984.  He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 103rd Infantry K Company.  Active in local politics, he served as a first selectman for the Town of Bradley for many years.  He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dora (Soucie) Petrie of Bradley; four children and their families, Sally and David MacLaughlin of Lincoln, Robert and Cheryl Petrie of Benton, Michael and Janice Petrie of Topsfield, Mass., and Kathie Petrie of Mount Desert Island; five grandchildren, Christine MacLaughlin, Jason Petrie, Troy Petrie, Kristen Petrie and David Petrie; a brother, Robert Petrie of Bradley; two sisters, Mildred Petrie and Hilda Soucie, both of Bradley.  He was predeceased by his infant twin brother, Lemont Cecil Petrie.  At his request, there will be no visiting hours.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bradley.  For those who wish memorial contributions in his memory made be made to the Hospice of Eastern Maine, or to the National Kidney Foundation.  Arrangements by the Birmingham Funeral Home, 287 South Main St., Old Town.
