Obituary:  Leader-Telegram (Eau Claire, WI), Thursday, 6 June 1974:  Charles A. Pitre, 51, died Wednesday at his home in Lake Charles, La.  He was born June 23, 1922, at Lake Charles.  Besides his wife, the former Irma Washburn of Eau Claire, he is survived by one son, Charles Jr., in the Marine Corps; two daughters, Mary Ann and Phyllis, both at home; and one sister, Bana Eulie Fontenot, West Lake, La.  Burial will be at Lake Charles.

Obituary:  Southwest Daily News (Sulphur, LA), Thursday, 21 December 1989:  Lake Charles - Services for Mrs. Irma Betsy Pitre, 66, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, in St. John Lutheran Church, with the Rev. George Earhart officiating.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Mrs. Pitre died Tuesday morning, Dec. 19, in a local care center.  A native of Eau Claire, Wis., she had lived in Lake Charles since 1945.  She was a Navy veteran of World War II and worked as a respiratory technician at Moss Regional and St. Patrick hospitals for a number of years and as a part-time employee at Wal Mart.  Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. David (Mary Anne) Landry of Pasadena, Texas, and Mrs. Eric (Phyllis) Adelsflugel of Baton Rouge; a son, Charles Marshall Pitre of Orange, Calif.; two brothers, Cliff Washburn of Appleton, Wis., and Ade Washburn of Eau Claire, and four grandchildren.

Robert Addison Pitre:  The Times (Shreveport, LA), Saturday, 3 February 1968:  Lake Charles - Funeral services for Robert A. Pitre, 16, will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Hammer Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.  The youth died Thursday in a Houston, Tex., hospital after an illness of 30 days.  Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Pitre; one brother, Charles M. Pitre; and two sisters, Mary Ann and Phyllis Pitre, all of Lake Charles.
