Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Eileen Pitre 1918 - 2012:  It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen Pitre announce her peaceful passing on Friday February 17th, 2012 at the Foyer Notre-Dame de Lourdes (formerly of Sunset Drive) at the age of 93.  She was predeceased by her husband Ben (Benny) Pitre.  Eileen was the daughter of the late Harold Godin and Ella Hache.  She was also predeceased by her brothers Lloyd, Clifford and Gerald.  She is survived by her son, Francis and daughter-in-law Brenda of Bathurst; grandson, Christopher; granddaughter Jessica; one brother Ernest of McAdam.  Eileen started work with CN Telegraph in various parts of Nova Scotia before returning home to Bathurst.  After her husband’s passing, she worked in retail for many years, retiring from the Kmart store in Bathurst.  The family will receive relatives and friends after 3 p.m. Friday (February 17, 2012) from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, until of the Funeral at 4 p.m. with Father Greg Culligan officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home, of Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Eileen may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
