Obituaries for the children:

Moise Henri Pitre:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Tuesday, 11 January 1949:  Funeral Monday – The funeral of Moses H. Peters was held yesterday morning from his late residence, 268 Queen Street, to St. Dunstan’s Basilica where Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Rev. P. F. MacDonald.  The staff of the firm of L. M. Poole & Co. attended in a body.  The firm was closed yesterday until 1 p.m. out of respect to the late Mr. Peters.  The pallbearers were: Jerome Gallant, Benjamin Gallant, Daniel Noonan, Robert King, Maurice Martin and John Basha.  Interment took place in the family plot in the Catholic Cemetery where services were conducted by Father MacDonald.  The funeral was very largely attended.

 

Joseph Augustin Pitre:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Thursday, 19 June 1947:  The funeral of the late Gus Peters of Mont Carmel, who died in the Prince County Hospital on Tuesday, will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock from Mont Carmel Church.

Margaret Melanie Pitre:  The Guardian (Charlottetown, PEI), Saturday, 16 February 1963:  Cormier - In the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, N.S., Friday, Feb. 15, 1963, Mrs. Edward Cormier, sister of Mrs. Charles MacDonald, 269 Euston Street, Charlottetown.  Her remains will arrive in the city this evening and will rest on Sunday at the Hennessey Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held Monday morning at 8:45 to St. Dunstan's Basilica for Requiem High Mass at 9 o'clock.  Interment will be in the Roman Catholic cemetery.

 

Marie Josephine Pitre:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Monday, 10 November 1958:  Cullen - At her home in Morell on Wednesday, November 5th, 1958, Mrs. Richard Cullen, aged 63 years.  Her remains were transferred Thursday afternoon from the Hennessey Funeral Home to her late residence from where the funeral will be held Saturday morning to the Church of the Little Flower for Requiem High Mass at 9 o'clock.  Interment in the church cemetery.

 

Philomene Florence Pitre:  Charlottetown Guardian, PEI, Friday, 29 September 1944:  Kneabone - At the Charlottetown Hospital, Sept. 28, Mrs. Thomas Kneabone, age 44.  The remains were conveyed from Frank Hennessey's Funeral Home Thursday afternoon to her residence Oyster Bed Bridge from where the funeral will take place Saturday morning to St. Augustine's Church, Rustico.  Interment in church cemetery.

 

Marie Madeleine Pitre:  The Guardian (Charlottetown, PEI), 23 February 1951:  There passed away peacefully at the City Hospital on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 7th, Mrs. Russell Martin, age 49, beloved wife of Mr. Russell Martin, 64 Victoria Street, City.  Suffering a lengthy illness and being aware of her condition and evitable death, she was resigned to the will of God, having absolute faith in his ultimate mercy and justice.  A devout member of the parish of the Most Holy Redeemer, her faith and piety was well known to her many friends as well as to the rector and clergy who were in frequent attendance during her illness.  Left to mourn a loving and saintly wife and mother are: Reginald, Elliott, Augustine and Gerald, now in Ontario, who were home to visit their mother just previous to her death; five children at home, Pius, Letitia, Margaret Rose, John and David; another daughter, Arvella (Mrs. George Pineau) of Toronto, flew home to be at her mother's bedside, a month previous to her passing.  Formerly Mary Madeleine Peters of Oyster Bed Bridge, she is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Charles McDonald, Charlottetown, Mrs. Richard Cullen, Morell, and Mrs. Edward Cormier, Brantford, Ont.  The funeral was held from her late residence on Friday, Feb. 9th, to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, thence to the Roman Catholic Cemetery.  The many Mass offerings, spiritual bouquets, flowers and cards testified to her popularity among her friends.  She will be fondly remembered by all.
