Obituary:  New Orleans Item (New Orleans, LA), Saturday, 27 August 1927:  Pitre - On Thursday, August 25th, 1927, at 7 o'clock a.m., Alidor Pitre, aged 47 years, a resident of Cutoff, La.  The remains were taken from the Lynch Mortuary, 1427 Tulane avenue to Cutocc, La., on Thursday evening by Lynch auto service.  Funeral service and interment at Cutoff on Friday afternoon.

Marie Evelia Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 30 December 1985:  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose for Evelia Marie Pierce, 90, a native of Cut Off and resident of New Orleans, who died at 12:49 p.m. Friday (27 December 1985).  She is survived by four sons, Wilbert, Tryfon, Robert and James Pitre; two daughters, Marcella Sandras and Marjorie Ricardell; one sister, Euphamie Cheramie; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Pierce Jr.; and two brothers, Oden and Sidney Pitre. Interment was in the church cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano was in charge of arrangements.

Pierre Odon Pitre:  Abbeville Meridional (Abbeville, LA), Wednesday, 28 November 1979:  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church for Odon Pitre, 78, who died Tuesday at 1 a.m. at Abbeville General Hospital.  Burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville.  Survivors include his wife, the former Eta Mary English of Abbeville; one step-son, Hayden Mayeaux of Abbeville; two step-daughters, Mrs. N.A. Jeansonne of Ville Platte and Mrs. Willard Smith of Eufaul, Ala.; one brother, Sidney Pitre of New Orleans and one sister, Mrs. Evella Pierce of New Orleans; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  Vincent Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Celeste Florina Pitre:  Times Picayune, 30 June 1926 - On Tuesday, June 29, 1926, at 4 o'clock a.m., aged 23 years and 2 months, Miss Flore Pitre, daughter of Alidor Pitre and Eveline Autin, a native of Lafourche parish, Louisiana, and a resident of this city for the past six years.  Remains shipped yesterday from the mortuary parlors of F. Laudamier & Co., Ltd., 1112 North Rampart avenue, for burial at Cutoff, Lafourche parish, La., this Wednesday, June 30, 1926, at 10 o'clock a.m.
