Obituary: Toledo Blade (Toledo, OH), Monday, 21 January 1957: August (Gust) Pete, 73, of Albar Dr., died yesterday at home. Mr. Pete was born in LaSalle, Mich., and lived here 40 years. He was a self-employed interior decorator. Surviving are his wife, Lora; stepdaughter, Mrs. Warren Mahon; stepson, James Baker, both of Toledo; sisters, Mrs. Alfred Kane, Toledo, and Mrs. Lucille Belkofer and Mrs. Agnes Mills, Monroe, and four grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the H. H. Birkenkamp Mortuary, Trilby. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Monroe.

Surviving are her husband, Dennis; daughters, Mrs. Paul Palken and Mrs. Nate Beaber; 16 grandchildren, all of Maumee; sisters, Mrs. James Fielding and Mrs. Frank Aubry, Toledo, and Mrs. Eva O'Connor, Detroit, and a brother, Clifford LaVoy, Petersburg, Mich. Surviving are a son, James Baker, Toledo; daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Mahon, Toledo; brother, Will Miller, Alderson; sister, Mrs. Margaret Fields, Los Angeles; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the H. H. Birkenkamp Mortuary, Trilby, with burial in Toledo Memorial Park.
