Obituary:  The Eastern Gazette (ME), 26 April 1993:  Dexter - Leo A. Peters, 85, died April 19, 1993, at a Dexter nursing home.  He was born June 26, 1907, in North Andover, MA, the son of Jerome and Katherine (LeClair) Peters.  He attended Dexter schools and graduated from NY State Teachers College in Oswego, NY.  He was an industrial arts teacher and a printer.  He was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter.  He is survived by his wife, Adelaide (Cinq-Mars) Peters of Dexter; three sons and their wives, Thomas and Edna Peters of Metheun, MA, Richard and Joan Peters of Dexter and James and Evelyn Peters of Andover, MA; a stepdaughter and her husband, Merrill and Mary Alice Boynton of Pittston; a sister, Louise Bryson of Junction City, Oregon; six grandchildren, two step-granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 22 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter with the Rev. Marcel Robitaille officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.  Arrangements by Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, Dexter.

Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Tuesday, 12 April 1955:  Dexter, April 11 - Mrs. Helen Peters, 49, wife of Leo Peters, died in a Dexter hospital Sunday after a long illness.  She was born in Bangor November 17, 1905, the daughter of Herbert and Catherine Irvin.  Mrs. Peters spent most of her life in Dexter and was a graduate of Dexter High school.  She was employed in a Dover insurance office before her marriage and up until her illness was employed in the office of Municipal court Judge James Cox at Dexter.  She was a member of St. Anne’s Sodality.  Mrs. Peters is survived by her mother and father; her husband; three sons, Thomas, Richard and James of Dexter; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Fogg of Orono; three brothers, John of Dexter, Harold of Bangor, Merle of Somerville, Mass.  Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 o’clock at St. Anne’s Catholic church.

Obituary:  Kennebec Journal (Augusta, ME), Friday, 11 January 2013:  Dexter and Gardiner - Adelaide Peters, 90, died peacefully at her home Jan. 6, 2013.  She was born Oct. 27, 1922, in Lowell, Mass., a daughter of Robert and Cecile (Desrosiers) Cinq-Mars.  She was educated in Dexter schools, was a graduate of Sisters Hospital School of Nursing in Waterville, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College School of Nursing, class of 1958.  Adelaide served with a rank of 1st. lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps from D-Day to the liberation of the German POW camps during World War II.  She was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gardiner and was proud to have been a 65-year member of the American Legion.  During most of her nursing career she was employed by the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Togus, serving a short time at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Boston.  She retired to her home town of Dexter and married Leo A. Peters.  She was a happy homemaker and helped care for her elderly parents.  After the death of her husband, she moved to Gardiner to be closer to her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her daughter, Mary Alice Banks Boynton, granddaughter Adelaide Chapman and husband Cory, great-granddaughter Carly, and great-grandson Casey, all of Chelsea; daughter Theresa McPherson and husband Al, great-grandsons Matthew and Andrew Padzdziorko, all of Winthrop; three stepsons, Thomas Peters, of Methuen, Mass., Richard Peters, of Dexter, and James Peters, of Andover, Mass., and their wives, partners, children and grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Leo; brother Robert Cinq-Mars; her twin sister, Alice Bruzstowwicz and sister Agnes Cinq-Mars.  There will be no visiting hours.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at a later date at St. Anne's Church, Dexter.  Spring burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.  Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
