Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Thursday, 19 August 1965 - At Galliano, La., on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1965, at 7:10 o'clock a.m., Alfred Pitre, beloved husband of Emily Guidry, father of Marie Louise, Elaine, Emily, Alfred Jr. and Thomas Pitre, Mrs. Robert Verret, brother of Louis and Lawson Pitre, Mrs. Noah Gautreaux, Mrs. Julien Argreon, Mrs. Ronald Guidry, Mrs. James Barrios, and the late Allen Pitre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcial Pitre, survived by two grandchildren.  Age 45 years.  A native and a resident of Cut Off, La.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Galliano, La., on Thursday, Aug. 19, 1965 at 10 o'clock a.m.  Religious services at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galliano, La.  Interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Galliano, La.  Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Galliano, La., in charge.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  Emily Pitre, 80, a native of Houma and resident of Cut Off, died at 12:31 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off.  Mass will be at noon Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, with burial in the church cemetery.  She is survived by two sons, Alfred and Thomas Pitre; four daughters, Katie Verrett, Louise Pitre, Elaine Duet and Emily Pitre; one brother, Albert Guidry; two sisters, Phyllis Guidry and Sybil Walden; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Pitre; her second husband, Bertman Pitre; her parents, Asay Desire Guidry and Marie Louise Aycock Guidry; two brothers, Ronald and Donald Guidry; and two sisters, Marie Guidry and Doris Delosia.  She was Catholic.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Marie Louise Pitre:  Vermilion Today (Abbeville, LA), 21 October  2014:  Abbeville - A Memorial Service will be held for Ms. Marie Louise Pitre, 66, at 4:45PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at St. Mary Magdalen Chapel.  Marie, a native of Cut Off, Louisiana, and a resident of Abbeville, Louisiana entered into eternal peace on Thursday, October 2, 2014.  Louise is survived by her biological son, William C. Verret and his wife Tina A. Verret, brothers Alfred J. Pitre, Jr. and Thomas A. Pitre, sisters Katie P. Verret, Elaine P. Duet and Emily T. Pitre.  Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Emily Pitre.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Diane Broussard and Vanessa Vollmer for their support and love they gave to Louise, giving her comfort in her final days.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  David Funeral Home of Abbeville will be handling the arrangements.

Duet, 68, a native of Galliano and resident of Larose passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018.  Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Monday, September 24th from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Elaine is survived by her husband of 50 years, David L. Duet; son, Daniel Duet; daughters, Dana Duet Griffin (Lonny), Danielle Duet Plaisance (Timmie) and Dru Duet Guidry (Eric); brothers, Alfred J. Pitre, Jr. and Thomas Pitre; sisters, Emily Pitre and Katie Verret; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Emily Pitre; sister, M. Louise Pitre.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
