Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Thursday, 12 June 2008: Bertha R. Pitre, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Andrew Pitre Jr. and wife, Gail; one daughter, Emma Crenshaw and husband, Dub; two grandchildren, Debbie Cheramie and husband, Mark, and Jeff Pitre and wife, Gale; three great-grandchildren, Hugh Cheramie and wife, Kristy, Katelyn Punch and husband, Josh, and Angelia Pitre; and two great-great-grandchildren, Victoria Cheramie and Luke Cheramie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Pitre Sr.; and her parents, Joseph and Philomen C. Raymond. She was a member of Sacred Heart Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Holy Rosary Catholic School or Juvenile Diabetes Society. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
