Obituary:  Hartford Courant (Hartford, CT), Wednesday, 14 August 1968:  Alex W. Peets, 52, of 18 Spring St., died Tuesday at Springfield Hospital.  Born in Brattleboro, Vt., he formerly lived in Tupper Lake, N.Y., before moving here seven years ago.  He was a maintenance man at the N.J. Neiditz and Co. of Hartford.  He was an army veteran of World War II.  He leaves his wife, Ruby Dabiew Peets of Thompsonville; a son, Stephen Peets of Thompsonville; four daughters, Mrs. George Telyea of Jamaica Plains, Mass., Mrs. Gordon Gonyea of Tupper Lake, N.Y., Mrs. Bradley Annette of Rochester, N.Y. and Louis J. Peets of Thompsonville; three brothers; Henry Peets of Thompsonville, William Peets of Tupper Lake, N.Y., and Edward Peets of Indian Orchard, Mass.; four sisters, Mrs. Rose Fontaine of Longmeadow, Mass., Mrs. Viv Mayou of Indian Orchard, Mass., Mrs. Nellie Liberty of East Hampton, Mass. and Mrs. Mary Demars of Tupper Lake, N.Y.  Military funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Leete Funeral Home and at St. Patrick's Church at 10.  Burial will be in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Obituary:  Tupper Lake Free Press (NY), Thursday, 6 September 1956:  Mrs. Regina Peets, 38, of 32 Lake St. died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mercy General Hospital, about an hour after her admission.  She had been in failing health for the past year and a half.  Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Alphonsus Church.  The body will repose at the Richer Funeral Home until Friday's service.  Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.  She was born in Tupper Lake Feb.19, 1918, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clement.  She attended the local schools and was married here 21 years ago to Alex Peets, who survives.  Surviving also, besides her parents and her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Tellier of Jamaica Plains, Mass., Lois and Janice Peets, Tupper Lake, one son, Stephen Peets of this village; four sisters, Mrs. Delima Reid, Mrs. Ethel Lawrence and Mrs. Emma Gaudet, all of Tupper Lake, and Mrs. Leona Woods of Star Lake; and four brothers, Emery, Leon, Norman and Richard Clement, all of Tupper Lake.

Obituary:  Press Republican (NY), Tuesday, 7 September 1993:  Malone -- Mrs. Ruby A. Peets, 70, of Sawyer Avenue, Malone, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1993, at the Alice Hyde Hospital.  She was born Jan. 24, 1923 in Massena, the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Trimm) Dabiew.  Mrs. Peets was married to Maynard Rust, who died June 21, 1966.  She then married Alex Peets, who died Aug. 12, 1968.  Mrs. Peets was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Brushton.  She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Maynard and Fern Rust of Conifer, Gary and Cathy Rust of Governeur, Douglas and Evelyn Rust of Manchester, Conn., Rodney and Judy Rust of Russell and Alan and Jenifer Rust of Schenectady; five daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Harlow Hogle of Colton, Fern and Robert LaBarge of Plattsburgh, Dianna and David Flannagan of Pyrites, Nancy and Harold Kitts of Pyrites and Lois and Wayne Grant of Malone; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Bouvier of Malone and Mrs. Edna Rockhill of Constable; 28 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  A brother, Gerald Dabiew and a sister, Kathleen Smith, died previously.  Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Spaulding Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery, Malone.
