Obituary: Dorchester Star (Cambridge, MD), Friday, 2 December 2005: (photo) Cambridge - Albert A. Pete Sr., 85, of Cambridge passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at his residence. He was born in East Hampton, Mass. September 7, 1920, a son of the late Tuffield F. and Gertrude Seymour Pete. He attended school in East Hampton. On October 25, 1941 he married Mary Rose Pritchett. Mrs. Pete passed away January 10, 1997. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II from 1943 until 1946, when he received his honorable discharge. Mr. Pete received European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three Bronze Battle Stars, American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart Medal and the WW II Victory Medal. After returning home from serving in the Army, he had worked for James Slacum and also with Burton Hastings in heavy construction. Later he moved to Cambridge Wire Cloth, retiring for work there in 1982. Mr. Pete enjoyed his garden and working in his garage. He was a member of Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFWW. He is survived by a son Albert A. Pete Jr. and his wife, Peggy, of Cambridge; three daughters - Eleanor Willey of East New Market, Frances Dierks of Cambridge and Betty Ann Bomberger of Cambridge; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, including Jodi Pete Schifferer and Joseph A. Pete, whom he raised; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother, Roland C. Pete of Cambridge; two son-in-laws, Conrad Murphy of Cambridge and Gordon Logan of Seaford, Del. and a daughter-in-law, Chris Pete of Cambridge. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Pete was preceded in death by two daughters, Alberta Jean Murphy and Patricia T. C. Logan; three sisters, Anita M. Parker, Theresa Dawidowicz and Florence King; two brothers, Edward O. Pete and Eugene J. Pete and three son-in-laws, pete A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. George W. Wheatley Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Nabb, Angelo Hernandez, David Dierks, Fred Dierks Jr., George Schifferer and Robert Willey Jr. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. A visitation was held Thursday evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home and will also be held one hour prior to the service Friday. Eleanor Rose Pete: The Star Democrat (Easton, MD), Thursday, 17 October 2013: Cambridge - Eleanor P. Willey, 71, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on May 24, 1942 to the late Albert and Mary Rose Pritchett Pete. Mrs. Willey attended schools in Cambridge. On May 10, 1958, she married Robert M. Willey Sr., who passed away on December 9, 2004. Mrs. Willey worked and retired from the Salvation Army Thrift Store. She enjoyed crafts, being out on the Chincoteague, canning and loved to spend time with her grandkids. She was a member of Dorchester County Relay for Life. She is survived by a son Robert M. Willey Jr. and wife Laurie of Cambridge, two daughters Vickie W. Bramble and husband John of Cambridge and Sandy Kuneman and companion Dan Cox of Easton, nine grandchildren Rachael Willey, Erin King, Roxanne Willey, Allison Marshal, Chad Kuneman, Brittany Kuneman, Ashley Kuneman, Kristin Rauda-Ordonez, and Robert Kuneman, two sisters Frances Dierks of Cambridge and Betty Ann Bomberger of Cambridge, a brother Art Pete of Cambridge, thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Willey is preceded in death by two sisters Alberta Jean Murphy and Patricia T.C. Logan. Pallbearers will be Chad Kuneman, Robert Kuneman, Scott Marshall, Matthew King, Matthew Kerr, and Joseph Krewson. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Mr. David Tolley officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will take place after the service in Dorchester Memorial Park. Alberta Jean Pete: The Star Democrat (Easton, MD), Sunday, 31 August 1997: Cambridge - A. Jean Murphy of Bishops Head died Friday, August 29, 1997, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. She was 52. Born Oct. 2, 1944, in Cambridge, she was the daughter of Albert Arthur Pete of Cambridge and the late Mary Rose Pritchett Pete. She had been employed for several years at I. F. Canon Seafood Company. In addition to her father, Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband, Conrad 'Connie' Murphy; three daughters, Lisa A. Feldmeier, C. Denise Bounds and Jennifer L. Murphy, all of Cambridge; four sisters, Eleanor Willey of East New Market, Francis Dierks and Betty Ann Bomberger, both of Cambridge, and Patricia Logan of Seaford; a brother, Albert A. Pete Jr. of Cambridge; and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at Thomas Funeral Home, Cambridge. Burial will be at Dorchester Memorial Park.

Logan, 50, of Seaford, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Bebee Medical Center in Lewes. She was born in Cambridge on Oct. 29, 1951, and was a daughter of Albert A. Pete and the late Mary Rose Pritchett Pete. She had attended schools in Cambridge. Some years ago she had attended Bucktown United Methodist Church. She had made her home in Seaford since 1968. On Dec. 29, 1982, she was married to Gordon K. Logan. She worked at Solo Cup Co. in Federalsburg for 24 years. She enjoyed camping, working in her garden and also antiquing. She had been in failing health since January and had been a patient at Bebee Medical Center since Sept. 19, where she passed away Monday. Survivors include her husband, Gordon K. Logan of Seaford; three children, Charronnia Marie Obier of Lewes, Reginna Khansa Walmsley of Dover and Carol Ann Logan of Seaford; three grandchildren, Joshua Scott Obier, Erica Brittney Teagle and Logan Marie Faircloth; her father, Albert A. Pete of Cambridge; three sisters, Eleanor Willey of East New Market, and Frances Dierks and Betty Ann Bomberger, both of Cambridge; one brother, Albert A. Pete Jr. of Cambridge; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Murphy. A funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge, with the Rev. George W. Wheatley Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Dorchester Memorial Park in Cambridge.
