Obituary:  Springfield Republican (MA), Monday, 13 December 1937:  Holyoke Obituary - Arthur LaPite, 34, of 38 North Chicopee street, Wiilimansett, died last night at his home.  He had been employed at the Prew Coal company and had resided here for nine years.  He formerly lived at Suncook, N.H.  Besides his widow, Alice (Hutchinson) LaPite, he leaves a son, Arthur, Jr., a daughter, Lucille, both at home; his father, Joseph, and a brother, Dore, both of Willimansett.  The funeral will be held at the Blais & Son funeral parlors Tuesday morning at 8:15 followed by solemn high mass of requiem in the Church of the Nativity at 9.  Burial will be in St. Rose cemetery.

Obituary:  Springfield Union (MA), Tuesday, 3 June 1958:  Mrs. Alice Lapite - Chicopee, June 2 - Mrs. Alice (Hutchinson) Lapite, 55, of 71 1/2 Chicopee St., Willimansett, widow of Arthur Lapite, died suddenly Saturday afternoon in St. Petersburg, Fla.  She was born in Wilton, N.H., and had been a resident of Willimansett for the past 30 years.  She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Gill, Jr., of Fairview; one son, Arthur Lapite of Willimansett; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Scussel of Stafford Springs, Conn.; one brother, Everett Hutchinson of Norwich, Conn.; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.  The funeral will be held Friday at 8:15 at the A.J. Brunelle funeral home, Willimansett, with a solemn requiem high mass in the Church of the Nativity at 9.  Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.

Brunelle funeral home, Willimansett, Saturday at 8:15 with a liturgy of Christian burial at 9 in the Church of the Nativity.  Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Aldenville.  Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

 

Lucille Lapite:  Springfield Union News (MA), Monday, 13 June 1988:  Chicopee - Lucille L. (LaPite) Gill, 58, of 88 Seventh Ave., in the Fairview section, a retired employee of the former F.W. Woolworth and the former J.J. Newbury Department stores, both in Holyoke, died Saturday at home.  She retired in 1964.  Born in Chicopee, she had lived in the Fairview section since 1954.  She was a communicant of St. Anne's Church.  She leaves her husband, Thomas M. Jr.; a son, Thomas M., III of Chicopee; a nephew and two nieces.  The funeral will be tomorrow morning at the Phaneuf-Blaise Fairview Funeral Chapels and in the church, with burial in St. Rose Cemetery, all in Chicopee.
