St. Charles Parish, LA – 1920 Census

Pitre Extractions

St. Charles Parish was formed in 1785.  Below are all the Pitre occurrences within the 1920 St. Charles Parish census.  I accessed this census through Usgenweb > Louisiana > St. Charles Parish, where a complete index and transcription has been put online by William Oullette.  Following Mr. Oullette’s index, I then viewed the actual pages.  The transcription and any errors are therefore mine.  The ‘probably’ column is my judgment as to the identity of the family.
