I am extracting the Pitre/Peters entries using LDS films #1630091 (1832-50), #1630092 (1850-62), #1630093 (1862-71), #1630094 (1871-78), and #1630095 (1878-88). Each film has an index. I have viewed only the first two films in the series thus far.
These marriages were recorded on prepared forms in a book, three marriages to a page. There is no indication as to where the marriage was performed (e.g. church or town), and the date the marriage was recorded ranges from weeks to months later. The recording of the marriage seems to have been done by a person or persons who filled out the form and then signed their name with surrogate written underneath.
For the Pitre/Peters entries the person performing the ceremony varied. I have listed the following clergy with their parish association if known: B.D. MacDonald (BDM) - Charlottetown, F. John McDonald (FJM) St. Margarets & Three Rivers, Sylvanus E. Perrey (SEP) La Belle Alliance of Miscouche, Charles N.
