The list below is a compilation from many sources.  The “Who Was He?” column is my theory as to the identity of each man.  The only one for whom I have proof is my own direct line ancestor, Martin Leandre Douradou Pitre  (I have his two pension applications detailing his family and service).  If you know or have reason to believe an identity is incorrect, please contact me so that this list can be corrected.
