Obituaries for the children:

Romule 'Robert' Pitre:  Examiner (PEI), Tuesday, 2 June 1896:  Robert Peters, a fisherman, died suddenly at the Dominion House in Summerside yesterday, about 12:15.  He was in to dinner with two other men, and had hardly began eating when he choked.  He was helped into an adjoining room and left there, where he was found about twenty minutes to two, dead.  An inquest was held and a post-mortem examination made.  A verdict was given to the effect that Mr. Peters came to his death by valvular heart disease, brought on by drinking.

Philemon Pitre:  Death - On April 30 (1933), Mr. Philemen Petrie quietly passed to rest at the advance age of ninety-two years.  Born in Prince Edward Island in 1841, the late Mr. Petrie had spent the greater part of his life in New Brunswick, where he farmed for more than forty years, later residing for about ten years in the Province of Quebec.  He came to Transcona in 1925 where until quite recently he resided with his son, Mr. Phillip Petrie, 161 Melrose Ave. East.  He was survived by three sons and two daughters, his wife having passed away some years ago.  Funeral service was held in the Assumption Church with Rev. Father Paille officiating.  Later the body was conveyed to the Transcona cemetery.
