Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today and will continue until funeral time at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home, with religious services following 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. Burial is in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Claudia Rodrigue Pitre; two sons, Eddie J. and Steward Paul Pitre; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Loredia) Smith, Mrs. Maurice (Lorina) Zeringue and Mrs. Gene (Georganna) Kliebert; two brothers, Hector and Obin Pitre; five sisters, Mrs. Elodie Ordoyne, Mrs. Emma Ordoyne, Mrs. Felicia Benoit, Mrs. Othelia Thibodaux and Mrs. Marie Ponville; 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Pitre and three sisters, Autance Ordoyne, Melanie Ponville and Louisa Sanchez. Thibodaux Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

September 5, 1916. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24,
2013 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, LA from 8:00 am
until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am followed
by burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay.
She is survived by daughters, Loredia Guidry, Lorina Daigle, Georganna
Kliebert; sons, Eddie Pitre, Sr., Steward Pitre; 18 grandchildren; 34
great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; 1
step-great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by husband
Wilfred Pitre; parents, Adam Rodrigue and Amanda Peltier Rodrigue; 8

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosemary H. Pitre; sons, Donavon Pitre and companion, Mary Bordelon, and Darrin Pitre and companion, Penny Clause; daughters, Janice Lassere and husband, Dennis, Tammie Falgoust and husband, Thomas, and Rhonda Buckley; brother, Steward Paul Pitre; sisters, Loredia Guidry, Lorina Daigle and Georgana Klebert; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred Pitre and Claudia R. Pitre; son, Eddie Pitre Jr.; and son-in-law, William Buckley. Eddie was an avid family man, fisherman and gardener. He always had a joke to tell. Special thanks goes to the staff of Thibodaux Regional Hospital and the Volunteers of Chackbay Fire Department.
Steward Paul Pitre: Steward Paul Pitre, 72, a native and resident of Chackbay, Louisiana was called to eternal rest on July 15, 2016. A visitation will be held in his honor on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, Louisiana from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Totina Pitre; two sons, Kurt Pitre (Diane) and Wesley Pitre (Dawn); two daughters, Rachel Pitre and Katie Gibbens (Tom Ed); grandchildren, Kurt Pitre, Jr. (Kasey), Meagan Pitre, Claire Pitre, Mila Pitre, Grant Gibbens, Jake Gibbens and Anna Grace Gibbens; great-grandchild, Benton Pitre; three sisters, Loredia Guidry, Lorina Daigle and Georganna Kliebert. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Claudia Rodrigue Pitre; brother, Eddie Pitre.
