Obituary:  The Bay City Times (MI), Wednesday, 30 September 1964:  Pitre - Wilfred M. Pitre, 62, died in his Detroit home Tuesday.  He had been ill for two years.  He was born Jan. 22, 1902 in Bay City and had lived in Essexville until 1952 when he moved to Detroit.  He had been a machinist.  Surviving are his widow, Marie; a son, Donald, Essexville; a step-daughter, Virginia Pacific, Detroit; four sisters, Mrs. Amelia Leonard, Mrs. Leona Scheck, Mrs. Beulah Kramer and Mrs. Marion Dansereau, all of Bay City; two brothers: George, Essexville, and Edward, Bay City; and three grandchildren.  Pallbearers will be Edward and Fred Leonard, Hubert Pitre, Lawrence Ayotte, Lorraine Smith and Theodore Kochanny.  Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Friday in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.  The body will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Obituary:  The Bay City Times Tribune (Bay City, MI), Monday, 6 March 1944:  Pitre - Mrs. Corine Pitre died Sunday morning at her home in Kawkawlin after an illness of one week.  She was born in Essexville, Mich., July 12, 1892, and had moved to Kawkawlin where she had made her home until her death.  She was a member of Visitation church and the Daughters of Isabella society.  Surviving are her husband, Wilfred; her mother, Mrs. Dellma Gagner, of Essexville; one son, Donald, at home; one sister, Mrs. Anthony Giffel, of Essexville and one brother, Arthur Gagner, of Bay City.  The body is at the Trahan Funeral chapel where funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock and at 9 o'clock at Visitation church.  The Rev. Fr. George O. DeQuoy will officiate and the burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Obituary:  Detroit Free Press (Detroit, MI), Sunday, 3 October 1982:  Marie M. Pitre, age 81 of Detroit.  Beloved mother of Mrs. Hiram (Virginia) Pacific; also survived by three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William (Ann) Rurych.  Mrs. Pitre was employed by Herman Kiefer Hospital, Detroit, for 25 years.  She was a member of Assumption Grotto.  Services Monday 11 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church of Kinde.  Friends may call at the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde, Mich.

Donald Anthony Pitre:  The Bay City Times (Bay City, MI), Thursday, 2 July 1970:  Donald A. Pitre, 43, Essexville, died Wednesday at General Hospital after a brief illness.  He was born in Bay City March 28, 1927, and had lived in the area all his life.  Survivors include his widow, Gloria, two daughters and a son, at home, and his stepmother.  Services will be Saturday.
