Aaron Joseph Pitre:  Houma Today (LA): Aaron Joseph Pitre, 70, died at 3:33 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.  He was a native and resident of Houma.  Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery.  He is survived by his sons, Peter Pitre, Patrick Pitre and wife, Danah, and Phillip Pitre; daughter, Joyce Pitre; grandchildren, Jacob Pitre, April Pitre, Lindsey Pitre, Bryson Pitre, Bishop Pitre and Maximus Pitre; brothers, Robert Pitre and wife, Claudine, and Lanny Pitre; and sisters, Roberta Pitre, Diane Pitre and Shirley Pitre.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Pitre and Margie White Pitre; and a brother, Roland Pitre.  He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  He served in the U.S. Army.  Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Roland Joseph Pitre:  Roland Joseph Pitre Sr., 52, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999.  Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery.  He is survived by his wife, Sally Billiot Pitre of Houma; two sons, Tommy J. and Roland J. Pitre Jr., both of Houma; one daughter, Starla P. Authement of Houma; three brothers, Aaron, Lanny and Robert Pitre, all of Houma; three sisters, Shirley P. Avant, Diane Pitre and Roberta P. Bunn all of Houma; and three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis J. and Margorie White Pitre.  He was a District 3 board member, a volunteer at Lafayette Woods Ball Park and a member of Friendswood Church of God.
