Obituary:  The Gazette (Montreal, QUE), Tuesday, 7 July 1981:  Petrie, Joseph Wilfred (Peter).  On July 5, 1981 in his seventy-third year after a lengthy illness at the Centre Hospitaller de la Sante, Laval.  Beloved husband of Dorothy Geeves, father of Gerald (Gerry) and Mrs. Doug Jay (Jean) of Ajax Ontario and the late Donald Petrie.  Brother of Mrs. Marcel Maigrot (Evelyn), also survived by eight grandchildren.  Resting at Alfred Dallaire Inc. Funeral Home, Duvernay Laval.  Funeral Thursday, July 9, at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, Laval.  Interment Cote des Neiges Cemetery.  Visiting hours from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Obituary:  The Gazette (Montreal, Quebec), Monday, 22 November 1982:  Petrie, Dorothy Mary (nee Geeves).  Died peacefully at Beaconsfield, on November 21, 1982, aged seventy-four.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph (Peter) Petrie, dear mother of Jean (Mrs. Doug Jay) of Ajax, Ontario, Gerald (Jerry) Petrie of Rosemere, sister of Eleanor Ross, Violet Lecavalier and Thomas Geeves.  Also survived by eight grandchildren.  Resting at Alfred Dallaire Inc., Funeral Home, Duvernay Laval.  Funeral service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, at the Holy Name Parish, Laval.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Gerald Frederick Charles Petrie:  The Gazette (Montreal, Quebec), Saturday, 23 June 2018:  (photo) Petrie, Gerald.  1939-2018.  It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Gerald Petrie on June 17, 2018 at the age of 79.  Beloved husband of Mrs. Madeleine Cantin, father of Andre, his two grandchildren Bryan and Mark, his sister Jean Jay, nephews and nieces.  He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.  The family will receive condolences on Friday, June 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at:  Complexe funeraire Goyer Itee, Sainte Therese.  A funeral service will be held on the same day at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Name Of Jesus Parish in Laval.  Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec.
