Marilyn (nee Peters) of Douro-Dummer at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Alan Garbutt (2016). Loving mother of Debbie Hook of Saskatchewan, Darlene Harris (the late Frank) of Douro-Dummer, Gerald (Elizabeth) of Stoney Lake, and William (Diane) of Douro. (GG) Grandma will always be loved and remembered by Josh (Sandrina), Amber (Richard), Tyler (Sara), Ashley (Jesse), Lindsay (Steve), Kyle, Christina (Matt), and Derek (Allison) and her 18 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brothers-in-law, Frank Berry and Bob Dellpellaro. Predeceased by her siblings, Carole Berry, Shirley Gardner (the late Eric), Karen Dellpellaro, Everett “Chuck” Peters, and June Eileen Peters, and her sister-in-law Doreen Peters. As per Marilyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Hendren Funeral Homes, Lakefield Chapel, Lakefield. Interment to follow at Lakefield Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arthritis Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
