Marilyn Doreen Peters: Hendren Funeral Homes (Lakefield, ONT): (photo) Marilyn Doreen Garbutt, 1935 - 2021 - Passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. Joseph’s at Fleming Nursing Home, Peterborough. Marilyn (nee Peters) of Douro-Dummer at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Alan Garbutt (2016). Loving mother of Debbie Hook of Saskatchewan, Darlene Harris (the late Frank) of Douro-Dummer, Gerald (Elizabeth) of Stoney Lake, and William (Diane) of Douro. (GG) Grandma will always be loved and remembered by Josh (Sandrina), Amber (Richard), Tyler (Sara), Ashley (Jesse), Lindsay (Steve), Kyle, Christina (Matt), and Derek (Allison) and her 18 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brothers-in-law, Frank Berry and Bob Dellpellaro. Predeceased by her siblings, Carole Berry, Shirley Gardner (the late Eric), Karen Dellpellaro, Everett “Chuck” Peters, and June Eileen Peters, and her sister-in-law Doreen Peters. As per Marilyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Hendren Funeral Homes, Lakefield Chapel, Lakefield. Interment to follow at Lakefield Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arthritis Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Beloved wife of Frank. Loving mother of Laura, Steven, Denise and Scott. Doting grandmother of Jason, Kristina, Andrew and Owen. Visitation at Smith's Funeral Home, Burlington, on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 12 p.m. until the start of the Celebration of Life service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place. For those who wish memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
