Obituary:  Chateaugay Record (NY), Thursday, 17 August 1967:  Walter Peets, 72, died at Physicians Hospital Friday after a long illness.  A lifelong resident of this area, he was born in Merrill, the son of John and Delia Peets.  He was a retired employee of Republic Steel.  He is survived by his wife, Lula Collins Peets of Lyon Mt., two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Garvin of Albany and Mrs. Patricia Bosjolie of Norfolk, N.Y.; his mother of Lyon Mountain; three brothers, John of Merrill, Ralph of Rochester; four sisters: Mrs. Maude Gadway of Pulaski and Mrs. Irene Bracey, Mrs. Marie Hamelin and Mrs. Eleanor Bozedlowski, all of Lyon Mountain; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain on Monday at 9:30 a.m.

Obituary:  Chateaugay Record (NY), Thursday, 23 July 1970:  Mrs. Lulu (Walter) Peets, 74, died Wednesday, July 15 at the Albany Memorial Hospital.  She was born in 1895, the daughter of Orson and Josephine (LaPointe) Collins of Chateaugay Lake.  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Garvin of Albany and Mrs. Patricia Bosjolie of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Fountain and Mrs. Bessie Hall, both of Lyon Mountain; ??? grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Bernard's Church.  Burial took place in the parish cemetery.

 

Obituaries for the children:

Patricia Peets:  Watertown Daily Times (NY), Wednesday, 2 February 2000:  Patricia P. Bosjolie, 83, died Tuesday morning in Massena Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Bosjolie was a homemaker and a former cafeteria aide at Norwood-Norfolk Central School's elementary school.  Born Dec. 23, 1916, in Lyon Mountain, a daughter of Walter and Lula Collins Peets, she married Roy J. Bosjolie on March 7, 1938.  Mr. Bosjolie died Jan. 6, 1980.  She was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation, a member of its Altar and Rosary Society, a member of the Jolly Agers Senior Citizens Club, a member of the Home Bureau and a past member of Norfolk Birthday Club.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and camping.  Surviving are three sons, Ronald, Marvin and Donald; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Cynthia) Rheaume, Mrs. Neil (Darlene) Goulette, Mrs. Gilbert (Janet) Simons and Peggy Crosby; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  A sister, Katherine Garvin, died before her.  The funeral was held at the Church of the Visitation with the Rev. Andrew Amyot, pastor, officiating.  Spring burial was made in Visitation Cemetery.
