- Detroit Times (MI), Monday, 8 July 1918 - Mother asks Court for sons - Mrs. Flora Peets filed a petition in circuit court Monday for a writ of habeas corpus to gain custody of her two sons, Ray, aged 10, and Wilfred, aged seven, now confined in the home of the St. Vincent de Paul society. The petitioner states that her sons are not confined by virtue of any court proceedings, and that she is unaware of any reason why she should not be permitted to see them and have them in her charge.
