ObituaryDaily World (Opelousas, LA), Wednesday, 20 July 1983:  Prairie Ronde - Funeral services for Mr. Stanward Pitre, 63, will be held at 4 p.m. today in our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church here with burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Mr. Pitre died Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Opelousas General Hospital.  Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Lou Guillory of Opelousas; one son, Joseph (Joe) Silton Pitre of Eunice; one daughter, Mrs. John (Melba) Guillory of Eunice; three brothers, Hebert, Murray and Wilfred Pitre, all of Opelousas; one sister, Millian P. Johnson of Opelousas; five grandchildren.  Mr. Pitre was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army and member of the Acadian DAZ Chapter 19.  Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on North Main Street in Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  Eunice News (LA), Thursday, 1 May 2008:  Mary Lou "Tee Mae" (Guillory) Pitre, age 82, of Eunice, La., died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Eunice Manor.  Visitation is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM (service time) Friday, May 2, 2008 with a rosary at 10:30 AM.  Funeral service will be at Quirk & Son Chapel at 11:00 AM Friday, May 2, 2008 . Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery of Prairie Ronde.

Melba Pitre:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Friday, 17 June 2011:  Funeral services for Melba Pitre Guillory, 58, will be at 11 a.m. today at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice.  Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.  Guillory died Thursday at her residence in Ville Platte.  Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.

Pitre of Eunice; two sons, Brian Pitre & April of Denham Springs, La. and Jason Pitre & Chauntel of Eunice; one sister, Melba P. Guillory of Ville Platte, La., and two grandchildren, Gavin Pitre & Shannon Konnor Pitre.  Preceded in death by: parents, Stanward & Mary Lou Guillory Pitre; son, Shannon Joseph Pitre.  Visitation at Quirk & Son is Friday, October 17, 2008 from 1 PM to 9 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM.  Reopen at 8 AM Sat.  Funeral service will be at Funeral Home Chapel at 10 AM Saturday, October 18, 2008.  Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice
